I bought the personalised mitre balls mentioned on the previous thread - did anyone else? It wasn’t for a Christmas present so has been opened already and the personalisation seems very flimsy and is partly coming off already. Has anyone else noticed this?

Not quite sure whether to complain, accept it will only last about a week or try to fix it some other way. I was wondering about painting clear nail varnish over the top but that might just make it even more likely to come off as it flakes?

@MammaRoly I don’t really know much about them as I only found out about them yesterday! They are mini finger skateboards which are apparently the craze in y6 at the moment. (At least at my son’s school). I got very confused looking at them as there are so many different designs/accessories. At the moment I have just ordered a couple of things from Amazon’s Black Friday offer. My son has a skateboard but doesn’t really use it much and has no idea about tricks etc.

@Turtleoo I don't think you can set up separate lists - I either set up each person twice and note them as e.g. "Bob bday" / "Bob xmas", or put a B or an X in front of the gift description.

Can I recommend an endoscopic inspection camera like this which is 20% off. DH has one and it's been behind radiators, down drains, behind bookcases, under the floorboards. His doesn't have a camera, it connects to his phone. Admittedly we mainly use it to find mice, but it has other uses! I'd go for the longest wire you can get.
