What do you do with your chocolates?

Maybe it's just us, but each year we buy tubs of wrapped chocolates, like Quality Street or Roses - or something a bit nicer Grin

I never know what to do with them. I want to put them out around the house so everyone can just grab what they want but I hate having the plastic tubs lying about.

Does anyone have any inventive ideas for putting out chocolates in a decorative way?

I did think of a large glass jar, like a biscotti jar. I am just worried it might be a bit heavy?

I am a complete wanker who selects colour co-ordinated chocolates/sweets/coins/those Iranian rose water sugar coated almonds, and places them on a white plate on the dining table, starting on the evening when we all break up for Christmas.

When they are gone they are gone.

We don’t buy them (just done eat chocolate) but if we did, I’d decant into a big glass bowl.

I’ve got a giant cookie jar shaped like a nutcracker

That After Eight tray is thing of magnificence!

Lots of lovely suggestions and I am now really enjoying the little insights into everyone's Christmasses.

Colour coordinated or not Grin

I have a gold basket that I bought in Getmany for the QS and Llindor. A tall kilner jar with Seasons Greetings written on the lid in green and white ,I fill this up with various choc mints wrapped in green papers.
Also have a tin in a Turkish design that I decant tubs of Turkish delight into.
I bought a large metal cake stand that I trim with red ribbon and fill with all different sweets and chocs for the boxing day bash. Like silver cupcake papers filled with choc money, tiny gingerbread men , lebkuchen etc.
