I’ve broken into the rum balls already

I hadn’t seen them for years and happened to spot them in Home Bargains Christmas sweets section. They’ve barely sat in my cupboard 24 hours before I caved.

If I had rum balls in the house they wouldn't have lasted 24 mins so congrats on lasting that long and damn you to hell because all I can think of now is lovely rum balls 😂

I've deliberately not bought Lebkuchen for this very reason...

Has anyone noticed if Lidl and M&S have their cherry brandy chocs yet? 🤤

I bought a Frys Chocolate Cream selection box as part of DH's Christmas present and ate it all within 24 hours.

I'm delighted to hear that rum balls are still a thing! Are we talking about those round little rock - hard bastards that taste faintly of Captain Morgan's?

Bailey's is on offer at ocado and one did slip into my online order just now-usually I have a strict ban outside of december/christmas but it was too good to pass up!

I'm staying with friends for Christmas and they aren't really cheese eaters so I'm considering starting on the Christmas cheese now to get it all eaten beforehand.

We've always made our own - recipes been in the family for generations. In recent years I've started making half of them with Cointreau instead of rum which makes for a nice contrast.

This is why I don't buy Christmas food or alcohol in advance. I know what my limitations are!

I think they were talking about rum chocolate truffles.

Tescos did some amazing cherry brandy liquor chocs down the Polish food aisle. I can't remember the name of them and sadly I've deleted the photo of them but they were bloody gorgeous and had a whole cherry inside them

One of our lovely Polish customers brought a box of these in once, they were unreal! Even better was the fact that nobody else in the office liked them but me

Gah, I foolishly put the stollen bites within reach on Saturday and they're almost all gone.

My husband and I scoffed the tin of Quality Street we bought. It had been in the house a matter of a few hours. 😀

It makes me happy to know these are still out there in the wild! Iceland stocked them a few years back and I popped in far too many times after work to stock up.

I haven't seen any so far! Off to home bargains this week for some rum balls

They have them in Aldi. I'm already half way through a box 🫣

Iceland still stock them too - already scoffed a couple packs 😁

I have to hide the goodies from myself, and sometimes I don’t find it all until after Christmas.
