…….organise the freezer space and get if it stops raining I’ll go into town to WHSmiths to hopefully get the dark chocolate toblerone for ds’s stocking. I’m also going to make a few more Pom poms for my Pom Pom wreath.

Whst are you all doing today in preparation for the big day?

Nothing today, but I have written a list for the kids, and bought one thing. I’m determined not to be doing it all last minute this year.

Started writing my lists today. Will be nipping out to Home Bargains etc tomorrow to hit the stocking fillers!

I'm going out today to start working on a Christmas hamper I'm putting together as a gift. So need to start looking for initial bits to put in it.

Sadly working another ten hour shift, so nothing really.
I have asked the children for some ideas of what they might want though.
Despite my best intentions every year we struggle to get Christmas organised. It is lovely but so much work on top of everything else 🙁

Celebrating bonfire night because it’s November.

We're currently renovating & redecorating DS's bedroom so a lot of his belongings are in the lounge which I really want gone so I can have a declutter & clean the carpet before the Christmas decorations go up. However, the only way forward is to get on with the bedroom, so will be painting today & hopefully new skirting boards tomorrow!

Other than that most of our DC's presents are bought so really need to concentrate on the wider family now.

I’m tidying the upstairs hall of doom . I don’t have space to bring the Christmas decs down from the attic until the hall is cleared. It will take me some time …….

Finishing the paper chains for the living room ceiling because I'm putting the decorations up tomorrow, very early but it makes us all happy and does no harm so why not? 🎄

Carry on making a good dent in my lists. My Nans Christmas presents (Etsy) arrived this morning and they are so lovely, I am getting very excited!

Also need to order a tree this weekend. We took ours to the tip a couple of months ago as it was on the piss all last Christmas. Lasted a good 10+ years. So many beautiful trees online though, I can't make my mind up!

I want to send a parcel to my penfriend in Australia and I always seem to miss the last posting dates for Christmas in early December. So I might type up a letter to go in the parcel. Hoping to post it off in the next week or so. It will arrive too early but better too early than too late.

I've set a date for a Christmas lunch with some work friends, so I need to book the restaurant and let them know where we're meeting.

No bonfire night here in Ireland - we go straight from Hallowe'en to Christmas .

Nothing today but i did buy all my daughters presents yesterday and have started buying a few new decorations. Have also bought a few other family members presents over the last few weeks and booked my food delivery slot

I've got a litre bottle of Bailey's due to be delivered with the supermarket shop today. That's all I've done so far! 😂

I just got back from Lidl with a frozen goose, side of salmon, and whole duck. DC's presents are all sorted, and I'm going to start decluttering the dining room which seems to have become a dumping ground of all of DC's arts and crafts stuff and DH's many DIY projects 🙄

Today we're hosting friends (party before the town fireworks display which we can see from our garden)

So it's a practice run of getting food ready at the right times and more importantly of mulling wine

the fabric arrived yesterday to make table cloth and napkins so I’m going to start on those today, I love a nice Christmas cloth on the table, and mind is looking rather washed out last year

Start making my famous brambley apple sausage stuffing for the freezer. I can't abide all that shop bought rubbish. It's on with the gloves and into the freezer with good old homemade stuffing for me
