Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

@PurpleSkittle Thanks - with 2 very small children prone to vomit and food leaks we don't have anything not heavily washed 😅

OnionBag · 04/11/2023 14:16

@dizzygirl1 im in the same predicament for a couple in their 80s. I’m buying them a Hotel Chocolat advent for two calendar and giving it on 1 December then maybe fancy puzzle books and a hamper on Christmas Day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2023 14:10

@Notasockbandit have you tried Superdrug head office They may be able to look at the stock systems and see if any stores have any odd ones in stock. Some times discontinued stock loiters in a ware house

Yes I have, many times. They've been out of stock before and then reappeared, I'm assuming those were the loiters and now all gone. I did order 9 packs and felt that was excessive but now wish I'd ordered more. I naively thought they wouldn't have stock issues again and that the reasons they went out of stock was due to covid and brexit. In the many calls and emails, no one has ever been able to tell me which stores have stock.

I need help with My Protein!! 😞 each time I’ve filled a referral link - I’ve signed up, added items to my basket, used CYBER code - but my £15 credit isn’t showing! I tried the referral code and now it says I am an existing customer and I don’t qualify for the referral discount.

Many thanks for amazing tip about Ciaté nail polish calendar offer above https://www.ciatelondon.com/products/mini-mani-month-new?variant=40046210908246, MMM26. When I got to check out, it also included free delivery! It is saying low stock on website.

Also many thanks for tip about Ulster Weaver 60% off tea towels. https://www.ulsterweavers.com/ (TOWEL60). Lovely tea towels as gifts (Irish recipes, Yorkshire sayings, coastal birds, wild flowers etc). Free delivery over £30
It’s also worth looking at their outlet offers. (One of top tabs on their website) - as a PP noted there are some very good bargains (Kids pencil cases and gym bag, pretty fold up bags, cute cushion covers, apron set). If you sign up for newsletter, you get an extra 15% off outlet. Needs to be separate order to tea towel offer.

For the PP asking about crackers, Waitrose usually do a 50% off crackers sometime in the next month. Have had lots of fun ones from there - racing elves, musical ones, magic tricks etc. Worth keeping an eye out.

ULSTER weavers are trying to charge me £3.99 over £30 (£6.99 under £30!) for delivery to Northern Ireland.... ie Ulster! Rest of the uk is free apparently.... 🤬

imnottoofussed · 04/11/2023 14:46

@Yajebbend any chance of showing us the contents? I'm sure I'll be jealous I just didn't have the money at the time (and also have three half used boxes of their stuff)

Ness1234 · 04/11/2023 14:51

Thanks WhyDoesItAlways for the Sephora and Superdrug suggestions for cheapest perfume, unfortunately they don’t stock the one my DSIL wants….I will have to do a bit more digging

Minttee · 04/11/2023 15:00

@dramalamma same with me but I'm Roi, can't believe they are charging you in the North you're literally in Ulster!
I haven't bothered ordering now

User202242 · 04/11/2023 15:04

Playmobil Aqua reduced in the clearance section of my TKMaxx -£4 each!!!! I'm delighted!

Has anyone by any chance seems any deals for the big pack of miniverse make your own food? There’s one at £39.99 and £74.99?

NightOwl101 · 04/11/2023 15:08

I'm tempted to order Merlin passes in the Black Friday sales, I have a 2yo and 11yo then me and DP so quite a lot of money to pay out, does anyone recommend them? I'm not bothered about driving to places and I hope that by getting them we would have more family days out rather then one trip to them theme park costs £££ for one day

I get most of mine from escentual. They’re usually the cheapest or on a par with the cheapest and have extra discounts sometimes and topcashback too maybe see if it’s on there

LatinRoyalty · 04/11/2023 15:39

Has anyone seen the Vivienne Westwood orb necklaces on offer anywhere? My 9 year old son apparently must have one… doesn’t mind if it’s silver/gold/rose gold.

We have them and have done for a couple of years. We love them - we live in London so use them for Sealife etc on the south bank but also day trips to Chessington and Legoland etc. we've also gone to Warwick Castle twice for weekends and used them for Sealife in Weymouth. I recommend.

Holdyournoseandthinkofchocolate · 04/11/2023 15:47

Ocado sells Joe and Seph’s popcorn, so you could do a normal shop from there and add some packets? Or ask someone you know who has a delivery pass for them?

Anewuser · 04/11/2023 15:47

@NightOwl101 we used to love Merlin passes. We are lucky we live between Thorpe, Chessington and Legoland so went lots when the children were little.

The real downside was how busy they all got, especially during the holidays (presumably when your 11 year old could go). At least Chessington has the aquarium and little zoo to break up the queuing.

bluesky · 04/11/2023 15:53

@latinroyalty have a look on Vinted for the Viv Westwood

ScarlettDarling · 04/11/2023 16:14

Can anyone remember the beauty/ fragrance retailer that was recommended last year? I think it might have been based in Germany perhaps? I remember getting Spicebomb aftershave at a great price there last year but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called.

redjoker · 04/11/2023 16:18

Just want to shout out these. just got one for mum at the local garden centre. its like a thick card flat pack and you pop them out to make a scene. im tempted to get myself an advent one

@Yajebbend -I'm quite tempted. Love the jurlique rose toner spritz. I'm quite fussy about makeup-just like orangey red Matt lipsticks & Matt eyeshadows. Is it worth taking the plunge?!

Thanks for the Ulster weavers discount code - I've bought a tea towel for everyone that needs a gift!

Ooh think I just got a bargain on afternoon tea's 😀

Piglet's Pantry Deal (I've ordered from here before, and highly recommend)

Just ordered the below:

  • Classic Afternoon Tea For Two £32.50
  • Classic Vegetarian Afternoon Tea For Two £32.50

To be delivered in January next year. Paid £40.55 for both 🙃It's basically buy one get one free! I had to pay £6.50 delivery though.
I really wanted to go for the Christmas option (where you get Christmas themed cakes, but I wasn't sure if they would ship my order for that in the New Year. And I didn't want to miss the deal)

Use code TYBLUE50

EDIT* It's basically a 50% code.

Edited

Thanks for this, I've just put in an order for us for Christmas afternoon tea and another order for gifts! Can't wait 😍

DinkyGT · 04/11/2023 17:01

@redjoker please could you send me the My Protein code? Many thanks!

DinkyGT · 04/11/2023 17:03

I’ve been to Smyths toys today and many shelf prices are reduced from catalogue prices FYI! Squishmallows down from £19.99 to £14.99 for example xx

captainflash · 04/11/2023 17:15

Might’ve been ParfumDreams. I got Sauvage Elixir there cheap last year. Often have good codes if you sign up to their newsletter
