Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Anyone bought much from amazon warehouse?

I want to buy an expensive gadget and even in black Friday deals etc it's expensive.. Much cheaper on amazon as obviously they are returned and repacked

Wondered if anyone had any good or bad experience with amazon warehouse they could share?

evtheria · 04/11/2023 11:12

Happy feet slippers BOGOF (one must be adult) with free shipping in the UK SORRY: please IGNORE, the US store seems to be more legit than the uk one which has one negative Trustpilot review!

@Favouritefruits wow that’s awful when you want to give someone a nice gift. Thanks for the heads up x

nicky2512 · 04/11/2023 11:15

Does anyone know any way to save a bit on Joe and Sephs popcorn? Even free postage? I always buy some for dmil but I’m sure there was normally discounts or 3 for 2 or something. Might have to wait for Black Friday.

PolliFlinders · 04/11/2023 11:17

@redjoker I've bought quite a lot from Amazon warehouse. Never had a problem and mostly wouldn't know it was a return. Occasionally a slightly damaged box but that is all.

MerylSqueak · 04/11/2023 11:26

@redjoker The only problem I've had is with a lego set which had pieces malformed (which I didn't realise until DSs birthday, much too late to return) .

LemonFrosting · 04/11/2023 11:28

@redjoker I love an amazon warehouse purchase as majority of the time it's only packaging that's damaged, it'll actually inform you before purchase of the issue.
I've only ever returned one item, some squishy sensory dough that was rock solid. Return was easy to do.

Anewuser · 04/11/2023 11:29

@redjoker i can’t find the referral code. Would you be able to link or pm, please? Many thanks

chocolateisavegetable · 04/11/2023 11:29

@redjoker i bought some microwaveable slippers from Amazon Warehouse. They came in the original cardboard packaging and then in a plastic bag that had a Warehouse sticker on. The sticker wouldn’t come off the plastic bag, but I just took them out of the bag and you wouldn’t be able to tell that they were warehouse stock. They were an absolute bargain!

psuedocream3 · 04/11/2023 11:29

@redjoker My experience is hit and miss. Toys have been fine, just damaged boxes, but out of several electronics orders only one has not been faulty/broken. I don't think they actually test alot of the products that get returned, and I know broken electronics I have bought and returned have gone back on the warehouse a few days after returns. I bought some nintendo switches a few christmases back and one didn't work at all but was advertised as minor box damage, the other was supposed to have deep scratches but the 'deep scratch' was only on the protective plastic not on the actual screen and that one was in perfect order. Returns are easy enough, but in my experience with electronics is expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised if you do get a bargain.

Many thanks for amazing tip about Ciaté nail polish calendar offer above https://www.ciatelondon.com/products/mini-mani-month-new?variant=40046210908246, MMM26. When I got to check out, it also included free delivery! It is saying low stock on website.

Also many thanks for tip about Ulster Weaver 60% off tea towels. https://www.ulsterweavers.com/ (TOWEL60). Lovely tea towels as gifts (Irish recipes, Yorkshire sayings, coastal birds, wild flowers etc). Free delivery over £30
It’s also worth looking at their outlet offers. (One of top tabs on their website) - as a PP noted there are some very good bargains (Kids pencil cases and gym bag, pretty fold up bags, cute cushion covers, apron set). If you sign up for newsletter, you get an extra 15% off outlet. Needs to be separate order to tea towel offer.

For the PP asking about crackers, Waitrose usually do a 50% off crackers sometime in the next month. Have had lots of fun ones from there - racing elves, musical ones, magic tricks etc. Worth keeping an eye out.

BestofLuck · 04/11/2023 11:34

I’ve got a cushion for you @GettingOldWithoutStyle . If you PM me I can arrange postage, etc.

Lastminutebride · 04/11/2023 11:36

Thanks for the new thread and all the bargains. I really must stop shopping.

Ive got 2 crumpets being delivered today!

Oooh any more online cracker deals? I am looking for some with charades or something to keep us entertained at the dinner table as opposed to landfill plastic tat which will get binned. I need them to be cheap 😭

M&S have a few that have games in them e.g who am I, charades etc. I got mine half price at our local outlet.

I think the hasbro game crackers are coming out in the special buys on Thursday 9th November.

Any advice where to get perfume the cheapest?

Sephora have some good deals on larger bottles of perfume at the moment. They have 10% topcashback for new customers at the moment. I tried to stack with the bluelight discount but couldn't get that to work.

Superdrug also usually have good offers, particularly if you join their club scheme.

It's a switch im looking to buy. Have seen a few with scratches for 120-150 so wondering if it's worth a punt. Basically I guess it depends on how good their returns policy is....

Really appreciate all comments thanks guys

@redjoker I've bought a lot from Amazon warehouse and they've always been perfect items with damaged boxes, sometimes I can't even see what the damage is!

HideHide · 04/11/2023 11:52

Does anyone here remember those bargain lovely cosy blankets you could add initials to from the thread a few years ago? Can anyone remember the company?

Hotchocolatemousse · 04/11/2023 11:52

@Delahot i was given a Cartright and Butler hamper last Christmas that I would definitely recommend. It was sent via John Lewis but you can order directly from C&B.

Many thanks for your post and the person who posted about Waitrose 👍

@HideHide i think it was Lands End - I got my mums one and she actually likes it and she’s extremely hard to please and will actually tell you that she’s dislikes what you bought her

@Checkinmylist1 What hand warmers do you mean? The gel ones with a little metal disc that you "click" to activate it? Those are reusable...

Sorry yes you could get one of those reusable ones but to stay within the budget I got a pack of these - should have said ‘press’ rather than ‘click’ to activate ☺️ Just handy when my son is out playing sport in the winter & a little stocking idea.
