Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Elemis deal now live on QVC to buy.

https://www.qvcuk.com/product.249306.html

This looks amazing (for me)
do QVC do referral codes?

This works to a pint but he has medical conditions that mean he struggles to keep warm without it on continually, one bit of him gets warm and he has to move heaters around to get full body coverage. The blanket could shroud him.

I don’t know what your budget is, but have you also seen the heated gilets (‘vests’ they call them, as well)? Lots on Amazon…

lazysundaymorningcoffee · 06/11/2023 08:16

@Ssfb3 they do, I've just added mine to the referrals thread.

I need a best value top-up gift for a 14 year old boy. Looking to spend around £7-£10 so really not very much, but need to add something to a gift I’ve already got.

Must be able to be posted (so nothing massive like the 850g dairy milk and no lynx etc) and if going for chocolate it must be fairly plain flavours - he’s not adventurous with food in any way.

Any ideas?

I’d scroll back through this thread and look at some of the ideas for uni students plus also Etsy or red bubble are good for small gifts related to their passions

Thank you! I’ve just used it.
I’ve started using the Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm and it’s like magic for my skin. Since hitting perimenopause my skin has been awful so dry I had to moisturise at least three times a day, but not since using this, what are bargain!

What about something like this? Spin Master Games Perplexus Go Stairs Orange amzn.eu/d/g2HrPha
my kids (including 14 year old) are obsessed with theirs at the moment (tho they have the slightly bigger one at £12.50 which is out of budget). We've given a few as gifts and everyone has reported back when they've finally finished it.

lazysundaymorningcoffee · 06/11/2023 08:41

@Ssfb3 that's amazing! I switched skin care to Trinny London after I ran out of the Elemis cleanser but although the other trinny skincare is amazing I don't like the cleanser half as much. So thanks for using my code because I think I will treat myself to the Elemis bundle.

Incidentally, last time I bought the qvc Elemis bundle I sold the body products on eBay. I think I made about £20 doing that which made it even more of a bargain!

mumonthehill · 06/11/2023 08:42

Thanks for the Elemis info, have given my dm a nudge as she gets this for me every year!!

That’s a good idea, I’ll have a look. The poncho looks super snuggly but he still has to be able to type.
thanks for the ideas everybody.

PopcornAndGummyBears · 06/11/2023 08:44

Thanks for all the suggestions for gifts. I’m away to spend a few hours on Amazon searching all the lovely suggestions.

Sabb123 · 06/11/2023 08:52

Does anyone have any ideas where I could get a glasses stand (spectacle type not drinking!)
Ive seen the usual ones online that are a wooden face type thing but I was hoping for a little bit ‘different’ maybe personalised.

Rainraingoaway21 · 06/11/2023 09:11

@Sabb123 Try Etsy, they do lots of personalised options.

ClaraLane · 06/11/2023 09:14

Elpheba · 06/11/2023 07:47

Not a huge bargain- but a lovely small business. I’ve used these guys for several years to get presents for hard to buy for in-laws- oak doorstops, egg racks etc,
lots of personalisation options, free delivery and 20% off everything for November with BF23. https://www.holderandhook.co.uk/personalised-oak-gifts?utm_campaign=a4f9afc9-49d8-464f-b778-4450c497ac05&utm_source=so&utm_medium=mail&cid=179a806c-4b0c-40bc-85be-9228c541ceba&page=3

Ahhh I love their stuff, thanks for the reminder, somehow I’ve fallen off their mailing list.

beetr00 · 06/11/2023 09:25

@Sabb123

As Rainraingoaway21 suggested a lot on Etsy

Also posted in Housekeeping, Amazon currently discounting this model down to £109.99

For those wanting to take their first foray into robo vacs and not too pricey 🙂

Another request! We're really underwhelmed with the amazon fire kids tablets - the kids are still fighting over an old smartphone to watch YouTube kids. Can anyone recommend an android kid friendly budget tablet or smartphone?! There's so much on the cheap end of the market I don't know where to start!

I hated the amazon ones, SO SO SLOW, that's because they dont have removable storage.

I went for this a year ago, its on offer! Ive had no issues and i bought a removable micro SD card, all the apps etc are stored on that and that stops it being slow :) My son uses it all the time no issues

OneFamily · 06/11/2023 11:24

@Blessedbethefruitz they have the Disney tea time dolls in Costco and Moana has soft hair but it is the girl rather than baby. I don’t recall exact cost but around £20 I believe.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 06/11/2023 11:39

Thanks for QVC Elemis reminder. I also had a £5 discount cost me £60. Nice Christmas present for myself.

Thank you to all the toblerone hunters. Unfortunately I am not near a qd store @Yeknom and they’re not available for delivery.
The price of £17 for a toblerone is too much for me I’m afraid @tootsnwoocake but thank you.
@WhereTheresAHill and @MrsChristiesChristmasCake that’s really such a kind offer - I may take you up on that! I’ll let you know - thank you again.

My tesco has them. Maybe ask a staff member if some will be coming in?

Hope you find one. My son likes the white choc and I usually buy online at ££, but tesco has that one too this year so I'm happy.

Theraffarian · 06/11/2023 12:19

If anyone likes the chocolate covered meringue bars from Flower & White , they have 50% off and free delivery for orders over £30 . Code BLACKFRIDAY . They also do vegan ones and marshmallow but I’ve not had those , the white chocolate with raspberry meringue bars are lush though . All there stock is included , so they also have gift sets etc too.
