I picked up one of my favourite things to put away for Christmas in my shopping today. It was a stollen - I absolutely love it!

Mince pies and Christmas pudding

We’re out for tea on Christmas Day. We might have bacon sandwiches for lunch. I’ll buy proper decent bacon from the butcher and we’ll have it with white bread, may be a fried egg as well.

All of the cheese! DH is very dull and doesn't like many cheeses other than cheddar 🙄. So once a year for Christmas I buy myself a selection of different fancy cheeses from a local cheesemonger and make my own cheeseboard just for me 🤣.

Costa mince pies are the best I've tried. Ask them to warm it up for you.

Leftovers sandwich and also a pie I make with the leftover gammon and the ends of all the random cheese in the fridge.

Baileys.

All of it!
We do a snack/treat shop on the day my oh finishes work (usually a couple of days before the kids break up) and stuff our faces every single night til the 1st jan. 70% of it is cheese Grin

Honey roast parsnips

I love pork pies but try to avoid as so calorific. Always have some in over Christmas - proper tasty ones from the butchers.

Yes that's them. They're not quite the same as the originals but Dad thinks they're very nice. He also likes York Fruits. Try Treasure Island Sweets online as well. Lots of great non chocolate things on there 🙂

thank you

Fancy flavour crisps. Last year Lidl did lobster cocktail ones that were lush. I think it was last year that Tesco did Christmas pudding ones that tasted like ultra thin biscuits

Pigs in blankets
Shortbread
Bubble and squeak (only ever have it Boxing Day)
Cheeses
Treeslets
