What's your 13/14yo's "main" present this year?

I'm looking for a flash of inspiration better than a taller bookshelf for her ever-expanding, double stacked, collection of books.

She's asked for piercings for her birthday on 28th December but doesn't look after jewellery very well so that's not really a consideration (currently mourned loss are a pair of ghosts that are at least an inch tall and 3/4 inch wide, so not exactly small!).

Almost 17yo dd1 has picked a vinyl player & limited edition Taylor Swift vinyl - she's wanted these for a while but I've waited until I knew she'd take care of it.

Anyway, all that to ask what your dc of a similar age will receive this year? Maybe it'll give me a lightbulb moment!

I only have a toddler haha but at that age as a teenager our parents swapped our main present for money instead. We used to love having the cash to spend on whatever we wanted (within reason!).

Ds13 is getting big Lego Star Wars set. He borrows dhs wired iPhone earphones so I need to get him his own ones(he doesn't really use his phone often but in car trips he needs ones). I am thinking of getting him iPods but worried that he will loose them.

DD is getting a record player, and she’s also asked for various vinyl and band merch so I’ll spread that across family. She’s going to see Taylor Swift next year so she won’t be getting much more than that beyond the usual pants, socks, stocking stuff.

@SellFridges we're off to see Taylor Swift too - I'm very conscious that that will cost me an arm and a leg as it is, so was hoping to do similar to you. One large-ish present, then the "usuals".

DD16 is getting some doc martens as her main and then some smaller stuff like pjs, perfume etc.

DS13 probably Nike trainers, Tommy h & boss hoodies & graphics card for his pc.

They have all the 'big stuff' that doesn't yet need replacing which makes it the hardest year so far!

Ds 14 is having the Lego ATAT

Do they know about the Taylor tickets? I often get my DD tickets for shows/concerts for Xmas or birthdays and order scratch cards from Etsy to reveal where we are going. It's a bit of fun as tickets are often straight to your phone rather than physical tickets so this way it extends the suspense and makes it a bit more of a gift if that makes sense

DD13 wants the white fox hoodie, perfume , iPhone (she asked for an older model but I got a great deal on a 14) , jewellery.

DD14 on the other hand wants an online gaming session with her favourite YouTuber. That’s pretty much it 🤣

My nearly 13yo is getting a new phone. Current one is a hand me down and desperately needing replacing. I'm hoping he'll realise how fragile phones really are.

DS13 needs a new phone which worked out well as he didn't want much else. To go with it we've got a book set (Warrior Cats) a xbox controller, controller skin & thumb grips, upgraded rubik's cube, lego set, keyboard mat & mouse mat, xbox game, yoyo, oreo chocolate bar & lynx deodorant & shower gel set.

DD14 (15 in Jan) is getting a new CD player & 10 CD's inc Nirvana, Queen, David Bowie & Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack! She's also getting a Nirvana hoodie, cargo trousers x 2, a selection of beanie hats, a jewellery making kit I put together from Hobbycraft, book set (Twilight), Takki's (spicy crisps) & 3 x triple Bounty bars.
