Doll pushchair for older child

My DD is almost 9 and is currently on the pathway for an ASD diagnosis. She is obsessed with dolls and spends all of her money on dolls and clothes for them (specifically tiny treasures from Argos). She wants a pushchair to push the dolls around. All of the ones that we have bought are too small for her at nearly 9. Are there any brands that are better suited to this age group? She is going to ask Father Christmas for one that isn’t too small 💕

does she want a pushchair or a pram. would the budget stretch to a dolls silvercross traditional pram? my 10 year old dd loves her proper silver cross pram, its definitely not too small. the perfect size.

My daughter had a cosatto dolls pram. It was gorgeous.

When I was still doll obsessed as an older dc a neighbour gave me her dd's old baby buggy. What about a cheap holiday one? Oddly the handles are usually short.. Ime.

MadeinBelfast · 23/10/2023 19:49

How tall is she? You could probably buy a 'real' umbrella-style pushchair for a lot less money than some of the toy prams. Some of the cheaper ones have handles that are quite low down.

The handles on the Daisy Chain Pinnacle and the Zipp Zenith go up to 95cm, which is the highest I’ve seen of any dolls pushchair.

The website Play Like Mum has prams and pushchairs for older girls

Quick Google tells me Boots have a couple under £40.of basic baby buggies....

Lovemusic82 · 23/10/2023 20:10

If it’s something she will use a lot I would be tempted to get a silver cross, when she’s older she can use it to display a reborn in? It’s something she could treasure for ever.

At that age I bought my tall dd a cheap 'real' double buggy from Argos and it did the trick perfectly

fartfacenotfatface · 23/10/2023 21:58

I'd be tempted to buy a second hand real pushchair for her on marketplace or something. Assuming she's a) not too small for her age, b) sensible enough to be safe when using the folding mechanism / any seat adjustments and c) her toy dolls aren't too tiny, you'd get a lot more for your money and she'd get a much nicer pushchair.

Dd 8 has this silver cross one for her dolls, she’s tall. It’s a really good pram, she takes it on our dog walks it holds up like a ‘proper’ pram.

Pushchair or pram? Dts had the silver cross
Prams and you can extend the handle

I sold my real pram last year on marketplace to a woman who wanted it for her older daughter to play with! Thought that was a fab idea, £20 for a pram and accessories much cheaper and better quality that a toy pram.

Konges slojd do lovely old fashioned style prams if she’d like a pram style

TulipsfromAmsterdam · 03/11/2023 15:34

As she may be playing with dolls for sometime to come I would get a second hand bugaboo bee with the carrycot attachment if she wants more of a pram. The handle is adjustable for the future but it's nice and compact and can be folded for storage. Seen them for around £30 plus on marketplace.
