Dean Martin’s Christmas album is my fave, can just listen to that on constant repeat.

There’s quite a few popular ones I don’t like but the worst offender is Feliz Navidad, the man’s voice just grates on me.

I'm quite fond of Happy Christmas (War is Over) by the Plastic Ono Band (obvs, see name) and Step into Christmas by Elton John. Fucking despise A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris de Bergh, which I think is one of the most depressing songs ever recorded. Can't believe it's the sort of thing randomly played in Sainsbury's after about 10th November, it makes me want to have a big cry.

I love December Will Be Magic Again by Kate Bush. So underrated.

I cannot stand Feliz Navidad (the Spanish guitar is the furthest thing from festive for me) and also that Ed Sheeran / Elton John monstrosity that Heart Xmas seem to love playing (but should be sent straight to Room 101)

Actually I downloaded a Jessie J Christmas album which is brilliant.

Pentatonix are brilliant - a capella group doing modern songs. They've got several Christmas albums.

There's so many I like, old style Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin.

I could go on but won't 😂

I really like Better Days by Goo Goo Dolls, but no-one seems to of heard of it.

I don’t mind the pop Christmas songs in small doses…love the Tom Jones/Cerys Matthews version of Baby It’s Cold Outside especially and Fairytale of New York.

For the most part I tend to rotate those with Ella Fitzgerald Wishes You a Swinging Christmas, Pentatonix Christmas Playlist (Spotify) and Of Kings and Angels by Mediaeval Baebes.

There is a comedian (I cannot for the life of me remember who) who sings “Step into Christmas, Christmas Christmas Christmas” for the first line of the song, and I cannot unhear it. DH and I sing just that line all the time, even though it is one of my worst Christmas songs.

Last year I had “Christmas Saves The Year” on a loop.

My favourite Christmassy pop type song is Kate Bush’s December Will Be Magic Again (especially when accompanied by the Nightmare Before Christmas video).

As for carols, even though I’m atheist I really love O Holy Night (sung by whoever I think sings it well).

I also really like (although not strictly Christmas) The Power of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Also have a (tacky) soft spot for East 17 Stay Another Day 😂

Oh where do I start, love the old time ones , bing crosby etc also love Chris rea driving home for Christmas , the carpenters merry Christmas darling . I love the usual cheesy chart Xmas hits. Only ones I don't like is the Britney / Justin bieber / destiny's child remakes they are awful

I love most Christmas music bar Mariah and Cliff. The above are less well known.

I particularly like Welsh voice choir Christmas songs and carols.

I heard a version of "Little Drummer Boy" caterwauled by Little Jimmy Osmond , it sounded like he got himself caught in his zip ! my ears ! My beautiful ears !
Love the David Bowie and Bing Crosby version but the song is tainted by the fact it was playing in one of the Moor's Murder tapes (Lesley Ann Downey)

My favourites are Fairytale of New York (The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl version , not never ever the Ronan Keating effort) And I'm gutted when they sanitise it , this is a gritty song not a fluffy ballad .

Not a typical Christmas song, about some people not having anything, no money, no way to keep warm, certainly no gifts.

I also love Gaudete by Steeleye Span, and the Erasure version is very good too, the video is superb.

I'm Pagan so don't really celebrate Christmas, it's Yule for me.

by Darlene Love is my favourite Christmas song.

My worst are some of the ones by Bublè.... his version of Feliz Navidad is probably top of the list. Also maybe the Jonah Lewie one, it's irritating af!
