Silk pillowcases mentioned on the previous thread, I got dds from Amazon jasmine silk I think, it’s silk one side cotton the other so it doesn’t slide all over the bed, it was around £20-£25.

Excellent, thank you @IggyAce. Off to look...

Someaddedsugar · 07/10/2023 14:23

Thank you for the Narnia suggestions - I'll have a look at them all this evening.

Sainsburys have quite a few Christmas sweets (eg the new Terrys mint chocolate orange) on their nectar offers if anyone likes to stock up in advance.

Just thought I'd recommend the wrapping paper from Home bargains
£1.69 for 8m and is surprisingly good quality
I'm ahead of myself this year and have started wrapping as i buy

I ordered a bubble tea pack from Tesco, it makes one drink and was £2.30. It’s arrived in the shopping delivery and is dated May 2024

might be a nice stocking filler

Lululemon discount code anywhere ?

Threeboysadogandacat · 07/10/2023 15:50

I ordered these tea lights from next thinking they would be lovely to go with my Oliver Bonas bargain melt burners. They are much bigger than I expected so won’t fit the wax burner but at £4 they would make a great gift. They are in heart shaped glass pots and it’s a really heavy parcel. Even dh, who objects to paying 6 shillings for a carrier bag, agreed that they were good for the price.

@superstar84 - thanks, that bubble tea kit is a perfect stocking filler for my 2 teens.

Whereisallmymoneygoing · 07/10/2023 16:05

Thanks so much for these threads, I feel I’ve been much more organised this year and saved a fortune. 🙏
I am on the hunt for white chocolate oranges if any one spots any.
Also if anyone knows how to get discounts at JoJoMamamBebe. Thank you!!

I'm also going to get the bubble tea kit. My dd is desperate for some after I bought a larger kit of my older niece birthday. I'm pretty sure my dd won't like it, so a single portion is perfect

InterFactual · 07/10/2023 16:20

Love the bubble tea idea but my tween hates the popping bobas. Has anyone found a packet with normal solid bobas that don't burst?

CrashBangWallow · 07/10/2023 16:24

@Whereisallmymoneygoing tesco have the half sized white chocolate oranges.

Jedstre · 07/10/2023 16:34

silk pillowcases I’ve had quite a few from jasmine silk and without fail they disintegrate after about a year so I wouldn’t recommend. I have now got one from John Lewis (own brand) and it’s washed and lasted really well.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 07/10/2023 16:40

Silk pillow cases, I really like Blissy ones, they aren’t cheap but last and are very luxurious. I buy one every Black Friday sale, they do take a while to come through. Also not too keen on Jasmin silk but I’ve only had the full silk ones from there.

FredaFox · 07/10/2023 16:42

Can anybody link the last thread? Dud I miss anything good, I just never saw it and it wasn't liked in thread 2
Thanks!

ChristmasCrumpet · 07/10/2023 17:07

I didn't see the Robert Sabuda chat on last thread, but have his Night Before Christmas, and it's beautiful and been DTwins Christmas Eve bedtime story every year since they were born.

IamChipmunk · 07/10/2023 13:42

@PumpkinSpicedTea
I get the Festive Spice. Its really nice and xmasy. They do them in different sizes and designs. I went for the red santa light up one this year.
I have had the big one with the berries in before.
They also do candles but I like the Aldi festive ones which are usually bigger for less money.

@IamChipmunk thank you. I haven't smelled it yet but had been looking. I was given a nice of festive candles from Next last year but have been into reed diffusers this year. I like that there's refills and different sizes.

PhantomErik · 07/10/2023 17:28

Tescos had Lynx gift sets (deodorant & shower gel) for £4 clubcard price.

Good teen/tween stocking filler.

WimbyAce · 07/10/2023 17:36

Just popped in Tesco but hardly any Christmas clothes. Hopefully more to come 🤞🏻

nicky2512 · 07/10/2023 17:51

@WingingIt101 I am happy to be corrected but I don’t think Next do any discount codes. I’ve def never seen one.

IamChipmunk · 07/10/2023 18:11

@nicky2512 Next currently have 20% off homeware for selected customers.
I posted about it at the start of the thread.

Tesco do sell one with tapioca pearls, but it is a taro flavour so if she's not keen on that you're best off ordering a plain bag of the stuff (online world food retailer or maybe Amazon?) to combine with simple HK-style milk tea.

nicky2512 · 07/10/2023 18:38

@IamChipmunk oh v good thank you. Missed that. Wish they would do general discount codes to use on anything though like other shops do. I would save a fortune!
