Yep, they definitely get reduced and they’re a great gift idea. I’ve bought loads of them, never at full price. I think they go down to about £40.

Out of curiosity are there any subscription costs?

livingthegoodlife · 07/10/2023 20:58

i think i already read about the morrisons half price toy sale but today i had a look in person:

3 jn 1 lego set reduced from £10 to £6 (ish)
barbie pet care set £25 (this looked good)
big bucket with plastic lid lego creator set £33
Playmobil princesses and unicorn set - v big! £20.

worth a look.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 07/10/2023 21:20

@liveeverysecond they get around 50% off, but looks like they have 45% off now from my Facebook ads. They are really lovely.

Does anyone know if Ancestry DNA kits or similar ever get a reduction pre Christmas or on Prime events etc? Currently £69. I know it's a bit niche but it's been suggested by the recipient as an idea!

What about my heritage?
I had this for my parents for Christmas! They have everything so had to think out of the box! Showing £35 at the moment!

I’m slightly cross with Royal Mail and valentte. It’s a recorded delivery parcel that will easily fit through my letter box
but since the 3rd, I’m back and forth trying to re arrange delivery and I’m assuming the longer it sits in transit the less amazing it’s going to smell .
appreciate I only paid postage, still wanted a nice trial gift for ordering Christmas presents so not very happy.

Unfortunately as it is signed for they aren't allowed to just push it through your letterbox or leave with a neighbour. Do they not give you the option of collecting it from the depot?

Our depot being open is so very hit and miss especially around normal working hours. I’ll try again to re arrange tomorrow. I just feel like the scent is sitting in a depo now instead of my place… such a shame

From what I can gather having looked at the Ancestry one you have to set up an online account to do the test and get the results. But this is free and you don't need a subscription.

I think there are subscriptions on the site but think this might be more for access to genealogy records etc.

Thanks @Reastie much appreciated

I got the trial set where you just pay postage, and while it is just a small item, mine came in a ridiculously large box.

DP needs a new wallet and I just got him a lovely Secrid one (RFID protected, made in Holland, quite cool and gadgety with the way the cards pop up, really slim design) from Faith Jewellers for £41.20 when they're usually £60, with free delivery too. They have a great selection already marked down, I got a Slimwallet which was reduced to £48, and then got another 10% off by subscribing to their newsletter (code HAVE10), and got 200 points which immediately converted to a £2 credit for registering for a 'VIP account' (it's free). Really chuffed with the saving and free delivery! Thought it might be a good gift idea for any hard to buy for men.

If you shop a lot at Next they are doing 20% off next branded homeware (says select customers only) it automatically calculates at checkout.
It just showed as a banner when I was on the website logged in.
Ive bought some bedroom stuff that we have been thinking about and also the usual xmas reed diffuser that I get every year!
Looks like all their xmas stuff would have 20% off. Im considering an xmas oven glove 😂

This isn’t coming up for me sadly!
I do shop a lot at next but maybe not for a few months.
I have a pile of curtains to buy, I’d love to have them for Christmas, 20% off would be amazing for they are slightly out of reach, with 20% off would make it affordable just 🙄
anyone any ideas?
It’s next or Dunelm

Same! The box was pretty substantial but I wouldn't worry about the scents degrading! Wax melts last a long time x

RJnomore1 · 08/10/2023 06:03

Just to say I decided to keep the valentte wax melts for myself and if you like herbal type scents they are amazing, the whole downstairs smelt lovely!

Lastminutebride · 08/10/2023 07:38

I’m feeling so organised thanks to this thread!

oliver bonas order just placed with the free £10.
off to look at the monster truck discount now.

Wait4nothing · 08/10/2023 07:38

Thanks @ExPreschoolTrustee I managed to find it! Membership cancelled - I was obviously not looking properly in the week.

HereForAdvice123 · 08/10/2023 08:07

Does anyone know the best place or time to get millions perfume for men? It’s quite pricey on its own so definitely need a discount code or for it to go on sale

VolcanicProtectorMan · 08/10/2023 08:10

Hi all, accidentally asked on the referral thread instead of this one 🙄 is anyone able to PM a H&M student code please? 🙏

Mojodojocasahaus · 08/10/2023 08:16

Hype have 3 for 2 on sale

Theimpossiblegirl · 08/10/2023 08:25

Have I already left it too late for a bargainous tree? I need a new one for the living room. Our last one was good for nearly 20 years but looked very bare last Christmas.

Also, can anyone remember those little chocolates that you keep in the freezer? I think they're Swiss or German.

Hibernatalie · 08/10/2023 08:29

Yay, new thread! I'm off to Home Bargains today to look at some autumn/Halloween/Christmas bits

Lastminutebride · 08/10/2023 08:39

Ahh thanks that’s great.
