Yes to a lot of outfits being over sexualised @stealthninjamum She’s already got some anime T-shirts and Kuromi stuff. I’m really looking for a big sailor type collar for her.

So pleased to find this thread for two reasons.

  1. I have a 13 year old who doesn’t know what she wandt
  2. I am clueless about teenagers!!

She takes good care of her skin and only wears clear mascara and eyebrow gel.

So make up maybe isn’t an option unless I get one palette of nudes - suggestions welcome.

Skincare also an option.

I have a teen who is into skin care, she loves uk.glossier.com/products/milky-jelly-cleanser-futuredew

We always buy jammies, socks etc - I need something a bit more main though.

Book recommendations for a 13 year old girl would be very welcome please - no crime though.

She got a phone last year so will possibly look at a new cover.

This is hard this year

My 14yr old will be after Lego, HP things, she's seen some clothes she likes in the local piercing studio, things that are quite 'Wednesday' in style. She wants some heavy black boots, and I'll probably put a voucher for a piercing in too. I always buy books, I think it'll be the Hunger Games and Enola Holmes series and some murder mysteries this year.

I'm going to get this for my son's girlfriend (20) I've noticed a few boots bits that she has left when she's stayed.. might treat myself while I'm at it.
Boots has a really good sale. I got a Ted Baker body spray for £4!
My step daughter (14) loves the Victoria Secret body spray's.

DD will be 13 by Christmas so I have to find 2 sets of lovely presents but she doesn’t want any particular big thing. She wants firestick as she has the old tv in her room but said just a second hand one please as the tv is old and likely won’t last long/not modern enough to warrant 4k

I’ve got her a bubble tea kit and some star face spot things so far. Will also see if she fancies new trainers.

Planning on getting earrings, some nice skin care (she would like Drunk Elephant but it’s a bit pricey,so maybe Pixi glow or glossier). Socks, pjs… maybe an Urban outfitters or Brandy Melville voucher but she hates decision making. I wish Vinted did vouchers! she spends loads on on there and loses her “tight with money” vibe as soon as she sees a bargain.

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 08/10/2023 21:47

Oh I just looked and saw Drunk Elephant isn’t as bad as I thought price wise. I do worry that once it’s gone going back to Superdrug will be a bit of blow though

My DD loves the heartstopper books at the moment.

Last year's main present was a full length mirror with jewellery and makeup storage inside which was a big hit! Added bonus was it made her room so much tidier too!

She needs a new phone so prob just going to get her some makeup bits, maybe a denim jacket if I can find a nice one that's not too expensive. She also loves PJ's, blankets, water bottles etc.

Bramblepuddy · 09/10/2023 06:56

@Comedycook - where is the jewellery making kit from / what is the brand name please?

Someone else bought it for her but I think they got it from Amazon...it's called the Zeyan jewellery making kit.

Bramblepuddy · 09/10/2023 08:12

Thank you @Comedycook

13-year old DNiece is getting a Tamagotchi from me this year!

I'm quite tempted to get one for me for old times' sake too 😂

Nowmum43 · 11/10/2023 22:05

Mine live white fox hoodies. Although now they are more available in the UK they have become more common!

Emmmmz9 · 12/10/2023 05:20

@Nowmum43 just had a request from my 13 yr old dd for one of these White Fox hoodies. I had never heard of them!

If you do order this is a referral link for money off 😁

rwrd.io/z2ibb6c?c

I have one of the hoodies myself and they are really good quality! I ordered one last night for my DD11's birthday in November.

Mine aren't having much for Christmas this year as they both have pre Christmas birthdays but I have said I will do them a lovely stocking.

In that I'll get some of the white fox socks and then nice skin care and make up bits.

Glow recipe seems to be talked about a lot in our house.

Forgottenmyphone · 12/10/2023 08:56

Twister Air and Pictionary Air are favourites with my dd when her friends come round.

Emmmmz9 · 12/10/2023 09:24

@Forgottenmyphone can you just use a mobile for Pictionary Air please? No iPads in our house, only laptop and PC

Forgottenmyphone · 12/10/2023 10:02

@Emmmmz9 yes, as long as they have Android 8.0 and above or iOS 13.0 and above
