My bargain vases are finally arriving today and I ordered them 2nd September!

I am so gutted, I had a next VIP slot and wanted to get the Luigi lego starter kit for my son for Xmas but by the time I remembered about the slot it had sold out 😢. If anyone sees a great deal on it elsewhere I'd be over the moon. It was down to £27 and elsewhere it's £45

I bought either the Mario or Luigi one (can't remember which) for similar money on Amazon around October time 2 years ago so might be worth setting up a camels alert.

@TinglingTangling Ah thank you! I’ve just had a look at Laneige and there’s a cute lip mask set which I will get instead of the lip gloss 😁

No worries. Iv already bought one for mine. Most places like cult beauty and look fantastic always have discount codes too.

Zara perfumes reduced down to £11.99. Smaller ones £6.99.
Great for teenagers.

Niche question but does anyone have any suggestions for a family member of mine who is an old-fashioned socialist, I once got them a Vive Le Revolution candle that went down extremely well, looking for something equally political but light-hearted. I am trawling Etsy but not found quite the right thing yet.

Have you checked out the radial tea towel company? They have some cards/gifts that might work

@LonelyFlans exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, thanks so much!

nov1ce · 20/09/2023 11:40

Hey! Photobox books are 50% off, I've created the book, is this the best deal or should I hold out for better?

Starlin · 20/09/2023 11:45

@nov1ce - I'm so annoyed. I just made mine at the weekend at full price!

50% is pretty good. There's normally 30-50% around black Friday too

Iknownothing · 19/09/2023 07:33

Silk pillowcases - there seem to be an enormous range in price. Do they all work the same way? One dd wants them for her hair the other for her acne. I don’t know anything about them. There £15 ones on Amazon and £50 ones in John Lewis - do I hold out for a bargain or just go for the cheaper ones?

TK Max do them for around £6, my hi to for presents and well received.

Does anyone have any recommendations for starter make up sets? My 7 year really really wants make up, but I really really don’t want to get the stuff in Claire’s and the like, just because it reminds me of the stuff that gave me a horrible reaction when I was a kid!

Bonus points for bargains obviously, but I’d rather pay a bit more for something better, if that makes sense.

Oh no! Prices start at £43 for a standard book, seems high! I'll be happy with my 50% then!

I’ve seen Little stardust recommended here before, though not tried it in our family as I’m too cheap…

@Qwerty21 I heard it sold out very fast. Like minutes after the 3pm slot opened.

I'm not surprised but I am disappointed

Qwerty21 · 20/09/2023 12:17

WetFlump · 20/09/2023 09:19

Yeah I added to basket and was out of stock before I could check out and I had an early slot. All the Lego vanished

I would have checked out as soon as it was in my basket 🫣

I missed out on curtains I wanted for the same reason! 😩😩

Aww man it's so frustrating isn't it

Sorry what a camels alert please?

deeplybaffled · 20/09/2023 12:20

Where you hide behind a sand dune??

OnionBag · 20/09/2023 12:28

@Qwerty21 if you go on to camel camel camel website you can look at Amazon price history and set alerts to inform you when your item drops below a specified price.

I put together a little pouch with Barry m makeup for my dd around this age, they tend to have decent offers or 3 for 2 and do some nice fairly gentle bits if you look carefully, her favourites were a heart shaped 'shimmer' (bit like a big eyeshadow that just added some highlights rather than colour but came in a rainbow pattern) and a little bottle of 'glitter drops' which had a similar effect. Their colour changing lipsticks were also very popular with my girls and the 'final' colour isn't too offensive and looks more like a coloured lip balm but feels like a grown up lipstick if that makes sense.. my dd has sensitive skin and these all worked ok for her, a few unicorn themed things there if I remember rightly
