@MmmALovelyBitOfSquirrel I was disappointed with the quality of the stuff I ordered from Online Home Store too - thin, cheap-feeling fabric - and have sent it back (having to pay the return postage).

Do you have a link please? I’ve been scouring the internet for a deal on this exact model!

@Artfun Mario wonder is in the style of a classic mario platformer, whereas mario rpg is a role playing game (like final fantasy, but I’m guessing more child friendly). RPG is also a remake whereas wonder is new. I’m getting wonder for my DS7, as he loves mario platform games and the curry’s pre order deal seemed really good.

@Athlebad it really grieves me that we have to pay to return it. It feels like cheap microfibre cloth, nothing nice about it at all! I got 'teddy' bedding sets and the long oodie thing, both have the rough, microfibre feel. I thought it was the place that sold the Rick and Morty Oodies, those were fantastic quality! I need to go through my emails to find out where I ordered them from... never looking at OHS again.

Is the fossil deal still going? Been asked to buy a waterproof black rucksack for a 16 year old. Any ideas where is the best place to grab a ‘cool’ one please?

I’ve also had a bad experience with OHS. I had a few items to return (1 was faulty) and they said I had gone over the 14 days I was allowed after it had been shipped out. I sent a photo with the shipping date on, but wasn’t chancing them honouring it so I paid £7.99 postage and sent the stuff back myself. It was a nightmare trying to find a return address online, but I managed to find one along with something that said you had to pay postage yourself. I then received an email from them apologising for their mistake and a post label. 😩 They are not very upfront about their refund policy imo. I still haven’t had a refund and doubt I will. I shan’t be using them again.

Also, thanks to whoever put the Next beauty boxes on. I got one reduced by 70% to £12 and I’m pretty chuffed with it.

@WomanOfSteel .... Their customer service leaves ALOT to be desired. I'm astounded they haven't refunded you! That's... omg. I hope you didn't lose out on too much? 01617949213 is the number he called me from, if you want to try calling them to chase it up. That's appalling. I was sure I'd checked TrustPilot but having just looked now... the reviews are awful!
I guess it's a word of warning for others who are thinking of using them... (Don't want to ruin the theme of the thread, that's 3 of us with bad experiences of Online Home Store... back to the toy ovens I'm living vicariously through yous now that I have teens!)

I can't believe I got the two shops mixed up. Those hoodies were amazing quality... the ones from OHS are rag quality. Judging from the TrustPilot reviews, looks like I'm going to have to fight on my hands to get my £50+ back... I was sure I paid through PayPal too but... my bargain parade has well and truly been peed on.

@MmmALovelyBitOfSquirrel I got three hoodies from 5poundstuff last year. Two of them were definitely real Oodies and the third was the same quality but a plain colour so hard to tell. I’ve just ordered a plain one for ds3 so will report back when it arrives. I missed the Rick and Morty ones last year. Ds1 would have loved it.

Amazon have some books 2 for £7. I got some crocodile ones to go with my bargain crocodile hooded towels from Boden.

@Blessedbethefruitz a Smyths catalog in our house is hours and hours worth of entertainment, flicking through the pages, putting your first letter or your name on any items you like, scribbling them out and looking what siblings want then circling things they want……. And on and on and on! It’s better than the TV at entertaining the children 😂

My dh got our ds the purple prime (grape) from sports direct. Word of warning it was vile. None of us liked it. My ds tipped it away and kept the bootle.

Thanks for the just geek heads up. I've ordered 2 Christmas jumpers for £20 plus postage went through top cashback so got some of the postage back that way

I think with online home store you have to lower expectations as they are incredibly cheap compared to other places. They are comparable to the sienna ones or the primark ones but half the price. They aren't going to be oodie quality as they are a fraction of the cost, and also never claimed to be! I did order from them and what I recieved I'm very happy with considering the price I paid.

Also last year there was plenty of disappointment with the 5poundstuff ones as it is a risk whether the hoodie will be genuine oodie or even be in decent condition. Some people were receiving primark ones, other cheaper brands and some people had dirty/damaged ones.

My youngest has now announced she wants another magic mixlings after showing zero interest last year so appreciate any deals.

My God(less) daughter is wanting airpods. They seem to be a standard £130 in most places I have looked. If anyone has seen a better price please, let me know.

World of books has lots of second hand books on buy 3 get one free. I got the four Matt Haig Christmas books for 10.60 including delivery.

They are just the beauty boxes on Next's website. They aren't reduced as such, just shows the 'saving' as a % or "worth £60" like other beauty boxes do.
