Anyone seen any bargains for Yankee candle advent calendars? I always buy one for DF.

Hmm, well maybe this wouldn't be ok for you then as your DF may already have had this one, but I bought this one for my aunty. I only paid about £25 for it a couple of months ago - it's last year's one I think.

I also bought her one of those little glass candle holders with the spinning carousel on the top, do you know the kind of thing I mean? Bought that from Amazon. I think they'll make a lovely wee gift together.

@WimbyAce This is my fear - I was thinking of the lamb for baby girl (almost 2 at Christmas but loves caring for stuffies and her baby doll). But her big brother will be almost 5 and I fear may have some serious fomo. He's been a bit jealous of her baby doll (though has been offered one many times before in shops and never been interested), and we don't have any real pets due to allergies (mine).

I'm having to gift plan v carefully due to this kind of friction atm. She's already going to be crazy cheap for Christmas as she doesn't need anything due to big brother - a few elsa bits, a buggy and carrier for her baby doll.

May I ask where you are getting the buggy from?

friskybivalves · 22/09/2023 22:56

Talking of H&M...this Christmas porcelain dish is £2.49 and has an extra 20% off if you nip in soon and are a member. Has great reviews. Would be nice in a hamper or with chocs etc?

I usually buy one for my dm, but looked at one in Yankee candle and there are hardly any Xmas scents in this year's one

I absolutely love that H&M plate but it's only 9.5cm, I wish it was side plate sized to fit our Christmas crumpets on 😁

I had the same age gap between my 2 and usually co ordinated or got them complimentary gifts so they could play together if they wanted to.

I dont know if you can still get them new but my dds loved their fingerlings at that age. Hilarious for dd making it fart or burp! They did dinosaur ones too. If he likes dinosaurs though, the jurassic world super colossal t-rex or velociraptor would have the wow factor. They are huge! Not electronic but you can feed them small toys which come out of their belly. They do go down to around £25 if you watch on amazon. Also a fart gun from the minions film was a huge hit at that age, especially if they could sneak up and make someone jump with it!! DD2 is 11 and has still kept hold of all of the above 🤣

How about a doctors kit if she enjoys looking after dolls? You could get your son an equivalent role play thing that would interest him. They may even play together with those?

Thanks for posting this. It stacked with a 15% off kids nightwear sparks offer I had on the app as well. So I've just paid £27 for 4 pairs. Cheaper than Primark!

I had a 20% off to stack so 2 pairs of festive Percy pig pyjamas for £12.80! I am genuinely chuffed with that.

Sorry to be an idiot but how do you get the sparks offers? I have an account and sparks card and yet I never get any offers 🤷‍♀️

@Tbry i know they are card specific but no idea how they actually work, sorry. I have previously had months at a time with very few or no offers.

Thank you I never get any offers….checked again and I’ve just got 15% off of an eye test…..didn’t even know they had opticians. I’ve spent a lot with them in the last few years online, in store and at our food store and never get an offer. Infuriating!

£9.99 and £6.99 for bigger ones (less pretty design?) Before the 20% discount ..

I doubt if they'll honour this. I just bought a down jacket for £5.99. Worth a try.

WhyHasAllTheRumGone · 23/09/2023 06:25

Thanks @CarrieMoonbeams is forgotten all about temptation gifts. I like the idea of the little spinner too. I can't remember what the one I bought last year looked like but I'm pretty sure that wasn't it.
@Ewock I probably wouldn't have checked the scents, so thanks for the heads up.

QVC. They will likely have a TSV on it before Christmas. They usually do.

Bumblebeesince19 · 23/09/2023 06:56

Thanks! I've just ordered us all some coats, some new walking boots for myself and also the deck chairs that fold away...
We are moving house soon as live with in laws so those deck chairs will come in handy when we are sorting out our garden come spring time :) not bad for £5 a pop!

Also-thanks for the gabby dollhouse heads up for £50 on amazon. I had a £15 voucher in my bag so managed to get it for £35 for my twins who are desperate for that one and the lego one. I'm hoping the lego one will come down for black friday! Fingers crossed :)

WhyHasAllTheRumGone · 23/09/2023 06:58

Hot UK deals are reporting Trespass at £5.99 on Amazon too, so maybe it isn't a glitch? Fingers crossed it's a sale.
