Hoping someone might be able to suggest a shop for some (hopefully) bargainous but decent quality gold studs for DD14?

If they need to be real gold for allergies I’d try Argos or H Samuel, most of the ‘gold’ ones from other sites are plated now.

If it’s for the look I’d try Ali express (a lot of the stuff on popular gift websites and Etsy can be found there) or Pewter Hooter which are silver but it’s covered with all sorts of different colour crystals, they’re often on offer through Amazon and are great quality.

Stylocks mini hair straightener is down to £14.45 with a clicky £3 off voucher making it £11.45 on Amazon which seems a good price for a little present with decent reviews, probably not suitable for heavy use or anybody very into hair but my sons been asking for one and I imagine it will be a short lived thing!

RicherThanYews · 22/09/2023 12:40

@benoticanarsed Hi, I don't buy official Nomination charms for mine or for my friends and family. I use Daisy Charms on Amazon but also available on Ebay. You won't know the difference and there are loads of designs. The most I've paid for a Daisy Charm Inc personalisation is £9 for a double.

Does anyone know of any deals on Schleich horse playsets please, or can recommend something similar?
DD has been very specific in that there must be separate stables for each horse but the prices are making me cringe

Spiralcar · 22/09/2023 12:44

Thanks for the earring ideas 😊

Toys & Learning are my go to for Schleich - or FB Marketplace. I have spent £££ on dinosaurs but at least they are robust. Schleich also replaced a broken part of the Dino Research Station for us.

In other news I went to Sainsburys’s today and they had dairy free Advent calendars out. They looked nice not sure if they taste good but a heads up for those of you with DF kiddos.

Did anyone else buy the Bingo watch that was posted on here a few threads ago? I've received it and it makes noise but nothing is on the screen, I don't know if it's broken or just in test mode? Can anyone else comment? Thanks!

Quick question for (mainly) Scottish people and those who know about football gear (a tad niche!). I'm hoping to get DH a Scotland football shirt so a) any discounts ever? And b) are they likely to change their shirts before the Euros? He's very relaxed about not having the current one but it'd be a bit galling to pay £100 and it not to be the one they wear for the finals (IF they qualify).

I know about who sports kits cheap site but hoping to get the genuine article as it will be his main present.

I think it's only available from JD Sports and occasionally they do discount codes so worth keeping an eye out for those. Not sure about the kit release dates though sorry. I'm lucky that DS aged 9 doesn't mind whether he has the latest one so I got the full strip from last season on Vinted for £12.50!

There’s a decent price on the Horse club set at bargain max at the moment if that will do
sure I’ve seen a good price on some elsewhere but can’t recall at the moment. There are often deals around…

Re nomination bracelet, I have Daisy ones from Etsy, can't tell the difference

Re gold stud earrings, a lot of shops do stainless steel jewellery with gold plating (often described as waterproof). I've used Bohomoon, Staccdbynicci and Eightyeightjewellery.

Received my Valentte set today. It's fabulous and packaged well. Perfect for gifting. Was getting it for myself but have decided to stash away as a gift for mother in law.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 22/09/2023 13:26

@WetFlump great bargain but check delivery dates out - some aren't expected until Dec -April

I have a 16 year old who would love make-up and beauty products but I don't know where to start. She is sorted for eyeliner, mascara and foundation but she likes neutral/bronze type products for contours and eyelids - should we go to a shop for advice?
She's outgrown most body sprays - I was thinking of Victoria Secret or perfume but where to start - nothing too sweet or vanillay. Again a lot of stuff is just available on line which makes it difficult!

My teens like Lovely by Sarah Michelle Parker perfume, and also Marc Jacobs Daisy. Morphe is a good brand for makeup, often good offers on

Zara perfumes might be worth looking at.

Cult Beauty often do gift sets by price that can be good for starting out with make up? Some are in the shape of crackers and there is other sets all gift wrapped across a range of brands. I think there is some referral codes as well!

Amazon have the screwball scramble card game on offer 19% off, down to £4.84. It says it's suitable for age 5+.

Forgive the long link. Need to refresh my memory on how to do short links.
