@Laney79 we had Octonauts toys and they were quite hard to play with, since the heads are so big the characters fall over. I was glad to have bought them second hand since many of them were not engrossing for the kids. The Gup X with the blue icicle thing that shoots out was v good, as was the Gup B since the mouth opens and closes!

The gup B was one of the ones I was going to get - was £10 but went up to£15 by the time i went to buy! I was looking for second hand but they seem to be going for almost the same as the new toys! X

Thanks @JosephsMama1. DD is just getting into Lego friends and I’ve ordered the water park for £25.99. Even with the £3.99 delivery it’s cheaper than the lowest it’s been on Amazon.

Argh had a couple of octonauts items in my Amazon basket intending to buy today and the prices have gone up! One doubled in price the other up by 50% Angry

So anyone seen any good prices on octonauts toys? I was after the gup B with Kwazi and the talking captain barnacles. But anything octonauts that's on offer considered!!

If you're not in a hurry to buy I would stick a price watch on camel camel camel to see if they come back down in price. The price tracker graph will also show you if the price fluctuates regularly or if there's any particular time of year e.g black Friday that they usually drop in price.

I don't suppose anyone has any The Entertainer discount codes please? I am signed up to Jack's Birthday Club and it's my youngests birthday early October, only I won't get her code for a few weeks and I'm really anxious to make a particular purchase before they all sell out! 😬

@Laney79 I'm sure octonauts were on sale at argos for the bank holiday - might be worth holding out until black friday? Ds got a huge set second hand for his 2nd Xmas with the help of someone on here (was desperate for an 'octopond') and its all still played with most days. 19mo dd loves it too!

@1stTimeMama I bought it for my 4 year old. He needed a LOT of adult help, and tbh it didn't really get played with so I sold it. I wish I'd just gone for the big standard plastic galt one that clips together

@1stTimeMama I have bought a Marble Rush set for my sons upcoming 4th birthday. He has a cousin with one and loves playing with it. His cousin got it last Christmas when he was nearly 3 and a half. They need an adult to build it for them properly and it takes a bit of time to build it to look like what's on the box. Tbh they don't seem to play with that version for very long. They like to make flat 'roads' with the pieces and manually roll balls along or will make their own simple runs using a few pieces. I like that it's a toy that can grow with them, and be as simple or as complicated as they want or are able to do.

The little one needs help to build the marble run but loves the connetix tiles for building on their own. It gets enough play that I’ll be buying some more this Christmas.

We had so much fun with them ...

I could really see the 3 of them setting up a new one in the hallway and trying it out ...

Off to decide how sensible I need to be this Christmas!

I have seen the Connetix. Does it stay up well? We have Playmags, is it compatible with other brands of tiles do you know?
