Placemarking in a bid to be better organised next year

Can anyone recommend some decent but not too expensive sturdy plastic storage boxes? I love the 'really useful' brand ones but they are expensive and I need about 6.
They need to be sturdy, stackable, clear plastic and have lids.

Asda living £10 for the 43l ones

InfinityOrUndefined · 27/12/2022 18:53

I only bought Lush bath bombs from the sale. I bought posh crackers from last years sales but we spent Xmas alone so will save them for next Xmas when PIL and SIL's family are coming to ours.

Great sales on the vans website and can use boxing20 for 20% off on top making them 12 and 14 pounds!

The Graham and Green sale has started.

Pearls1234 · 27/12/2022 20:18

I got the Ugg Dakota slippers, reduced from £90 to £63 on the Ugg website.

@AnotherOne4 thanks for the nutcracker runner post! Was eyeing it up a few weeks ago but couldn't justify buying it for full price! Got some gold cutlery for cheap too, be nice to bring it all out for Christmas next year! 🧑‍🎄

ThinWomansBrain · 27/12/2022 20:39

TK Maxx - I bought a fabulous jacket a few days before Christmas, brand is "7 for all mankind" - the website indicated I was saving £20.
Jacket is super warm and waterproof - and the RRP tag indicated £299, I'd paid £49. Bargain of the year 😀

lovescats3 · 27/12/2022 20:41

Is the marks and Spencer sake any good?

Up to 70% off at the Happy Puzzle Co

Off to Dunelm tomorrow and will definitely be looking for a Nutcracker rug!!

WaltonOnNaze · 28/12/2022 00:09

Oh there’s good stuff at happy puzzles @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl going to fill my present cupboard.

Wtafis · 28/12/2022 07:58

Decent reduction in the adidas sale

anon2022anon · 28/12/2022 08:36

@Cuwins I have tons of these from wilko, they normally get some kind of a discount in January. The boxes are sturdy, but some of the handles have broken off (still more than usable, and much better than the Dunelm version I have too)

Thank you. I will have a look

Thanks re wrapping paper. I’ve avoided WHSmith for the past year due to previous bad experience but I’ve risked ordering paper in the sale from them as I’m almost out.

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 28/12/2022 11:44

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but the Lisa Angel sale is now on. Ordered quite a few bits and pieces for birthdays.

Roserunner · 28/12/2022 13:34

Thank you for the Happy puzzle company heads up! Lots of good bargains which should cover a lot of my nieces and nephews for the year! OBSN40 gave me an extra few pounds off the total.

Lalanbaba · 28/12/2022 17:20

Thrift has 60% off of sale lines with THRIFT60

DancingSober · 28/12/2022 17:44

I just got my dd some Christmas pjs in M&S for £5, marked down from £13. Obviously bought them a size up and will put them away till next year.

APotatoFlewAcrossTheRoomLastNightExcuseTheMess · 28/12/2022 19:40

@QOD 😂😂 I can almost guarantee that's exactly how it's going to be for me next year too!!! Might write myself a note to put in the Christmas tree box to remind myself that I have it! 🤣 Infact, that's exactly what I'm going to do so I'm sorry that you forgot about yours but thanks for giving me the heads up to save me from fummmin' this time next year about it! 🤣 Have a fab new year (and remember the bloody runner next time! 😁☺️)

mac1974 · 28/12/2022 20:02

If anyone comes across this on sale I'd recommend it. I've been given some for Xmas and just using it for the first time and it smells divine

Malleus123 · 28/12/2022 20:33

Thanks for this thread. People always say I'm mad to think about next christmas this close to January....but it keeps me going. Love to keep the christmas spirit going, plus find bargains, throughout the year . ❤

mac1974 · 28/12/2022 21:25

@Malleus123 I don't think it's mad at all! I always do the boots sale as I think it has good makeup/toiletries for my kids then I just pick up bits as I see them. I tend to buy the kids main presents nearer the time though. It all helps spread the cost and I think I can get people better gifts in the sales.
