Hello all :)
im on the hunt for fire engine/station playmobil for a February birthday. Kicking myself that I didn’t buy in the Black Friday/pre Xmas offers but wasn’t sure if he’d like it. He loves the police van we got though.
don’t suppose anyone has the old playmobil £15
fire engine tucked away that they never found sometime to give it to? 😉 otherwise any bargain tips gratefully received!

@Didyeaye what about vinted? Would they mind it Preloved? I got loads of Playmobil for my DC for Christmas from vinted, you just need to be careful reading the description to check if any pieces are missing etc

Didyeaye · 07/01/2023 09:21

@Decafflatteplease thanks for the idea. I had looked there this morning but could give it closer inspection if need be. I’m just always a bit nervous about preloved for presents as have bought before ‘in great condition, all parts etc’ and has turned out not to be true

PumpkinSpicedTea · 07/01/2023 09:39

@Didyeaye Instead of Vinted have a look at Gumtree or Facebook for pre-loved as at least you can see it before you buy it?

sorryiasked · 07/01/2023 10:33

@Didyeaye i know whsmiths have been shit lately, but they've got playmobil in the sale

NoWordForFluffy · 07/01/2023 12:13

@Didyeaye, I've a massive bag of used Playmobil you're welcome to have for the cost of postage. It's police car, ambulance, fire engine and a few other bits.

Didyeaye · 07/01/2023 12:26

Thanks for the ideas! I had a look on marketplace too this morning but not a great deal going nearby.

@NoWordForFluffy that’s so incredibly generous. I’d love to take you up in the offer if you’d accept some payment over and above postage?

I just got a revolution limited makeup set from b&m reduced from £10 to £6. Looks decent to be honest. I'm putting it away for my DD. She will be 12 at Xmas & is quite into makeup/skincare.

clouise89 · 07/01/2023 17:34

There is a playmobil set reduced on Argos to £20 still £60 on Amazon I believe it’s fire vehicles :)

puppydisaster · 07/01/2023 18:19

Bomb Cosmetics have this reduced to almost half price:

Didyeaye · 07/01/2023 19:57

@Didyeaye I’m after the same thing for a spring birthday, along with Hot Wheels tracks. The things my kids like never seem to be in the sales!

WhyDoesItAlways · 08/01/2023 09:03

Looking out for a deal on a meta quest if anyone sees any?
I've got till march to buy it and set up a camel alert but seems to be full price everywhere.

whatsonyourplate · 08/01/2023 10:20

@WhyDoesItAlways there's a referral scheme where you can get £30 Meta store credit - I can send you a code if you don't know anyone else with one.

Willow4987 · 08/01/2023 11:55

I just picked up the Playmobil fire rescue set from Argos that was mentioned, the box is MASSIVE!!!! Looks like such a good deal!

WhyDoesItAlways · 08/01/2023 12:00

@whatsonyourplate that would be fab, thank you. Will it expire before march though as will be giving as a birthday gift?

feejee · 08/01/2023 22:29

After repeatedly asking my son if he wanted a nintendo switch for xmas (grandma said she'd buy one as a joint xmas & bday) present with him saying no definitely not, he's now decided he wants a switch for his birthday. Seeing as i've missed the black Friday offers, any suggestions on the best place to get one/bundle with games might be in the next 3 weeks. Thanks

I was recommended to buy from tesco because of immediate returns if and when there is a problem. This has proved correct. Tesco have been fab. Other shops apparently take the device for a few days and try to repair.
