Morning (just)!

I failed at eating yesterday which meant I got blotto far too early and wasn't well. Oops! 🙈

But we had a great time anyway and I avoided having to tidy up!

Countdown to next year is go go go! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

why it is a particular bugbear of mine that doctors seem to initially fob you off with the easy diagnosis. Fibro/women's problems/weight are the easy options.

Wreck your poor DD also seems to be suffering. I feel for her - is she in her early teens? It's hard enough to deal with all the hormonal changes without the post Covid symptoms

I'm a crocheter too Crazy. It's supposed to keep me from snacking in front of the tv of an evening but I ate anything that wasn't nailed down tonight.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/04/2023 22:35

I've had your eating habits tonight Down. I'm pretty sure it's hormonal as I must be due on at some point in the near future. Maybe! #perifun

It's funny you should say about having a tight chest, why. I get that sometimes, and

FireflyGirl · 19/04/2023 14:43

Whoops - I've gone from it being ridiculously difficult to post to being able to do it by mistake 😳

Anyway, I thought at first the tightness/breathlessness was anxiety/stress brought on by work being dickheads, but it didn't resolve after I left. Then I wondered if my bra was too tight 🙄 It took ages for me to click that it all started after I had COVID!

Hope everything goes well today Wreck

@NoWordForFluffy I've just seen an advert for a cheese bar in London where you can get bottomless cheese for £25...

I saw that too!

[wonders how much cheese I can eat in 90 minutes🤔...]

WreckTangled · 19/04/2023 18:53

Umm countdown to Christmas thread meet up?!

I’m exhausted, it’s been a long day. Just at DD’s piano lesson that she really wasn’t keen on going to. It’s been a lovely sunny day, got up to 18°

@FireflyGirl I hold you responsible for the high cholesterol levels on the "fred" not me tho, I don't like cheese unless it's dairylea Happy to bring a capacious handbag to smuggle extra cheese out for the journey home Wink

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 19/04/2023 19:33

An outing to eat cheese!! Count me in. Puts both hands up (although not too high because my arms hurt).

NoWordForFluffy · 19/04/2023 20:26

I can only put my left arm up, Why, due to the dodgy shoulder! What a pair! 🙄🤣

OP posts:
whydoesitalwayshappentome · 19/04/2023 20:34

Only one fully functioning arm between us Fluffy. Sighs.

CrazyBaubles · 19/04/2023 20:57

I couldn't see the countdown today so 🎄250🎄

Count me in for the road trip - happy to travel for cheese!

Currently eating my 1 and only Easter egg and mindlessly watching tv because work was bonkers today.

FireflyGirl · 19/04/2023 21:11

puss we'll have to ask them if Dairylea is one of the options!

Can you imagine peoples' faces on the train home, if we suddenly pulled lumps of cheese 🧀 out of our handbags 😂😂

HernamewasNOLA · 19/04/2023 22:09

Another beautiful day here, we took a trip to the botanical garden and I had a catch up phone call with my best friend. We’re hoping to meet up at some point soon. I also had a chat with my younger cousin who’s been struggling with her mental health for a while but she’s been engaging in her therapy and things are looking up for her. I’m really proud of her.

I’m convinced I have little elves living in our flat Crazy. Things disappear all the time😆

Welcome down 👋🏻

I hope the twitch isn’t bothering you too much, why. I know how it feels when you’ve been diagnosed with one thing it seems like everything else is attributed to that.

CrazyBaubles · 20/04/2023 10:31

249 Morning. Very sunny here today - I'm just about to put my second load of washing out ☀️

Hope everyone is feeling ok today. I am fighting the urge to bunk off work and enjoy the sunshine.

WreckTangled · 20/04/2023 14:46

Lovely sunny day here too. I’ve got the patio doors open whilst I work.

I’m exhausted. I haven’t been sleeping well as lots on my mind and have huge mum guilt at making dd go to school when she’s feeling so rubbish.

I should go to the gym when I finish in a minute but I think I might just try and have a nap…

NoWordForFluffy · 20/04/2023 21:24

Evening.

It was lovely here too. Bit breezy still though, so cracking drying day. We had two loads out.

My sweetcorn are coming through nicely. I've 20 poking through now. Only 10 more and they're all through! The beans are starting now too. I do find beans to be quite slow though.

I went to water the allotment after dinner. Phil the pheasant is still there, acting like he owns the bloody place. Sigh.

I just had a look at the Cheese Bar online , DH and I are going up to That London tomorrow but not to the cheese bar (I don't think I could've done even when I had a gallbladder , now there's no chance Xmas Shock )

HernamewasNOLA · 21/04/2023 02:03

I’m exhausted today, it seems like DS’s 4 month sleep regression has come early. I do all the night feeds too because I’m breastfeeding so I’m exhausted, plus I’m running around after a toddler all day. DH did bedtime tonight and I got to have a soak in the bath which was really needed. Hopefully an early night tonight will make me feel a bit better. I hope everyone’s well.

Morning!

The blue sky is just peeping through the clouds, so hopefully it'll be a nice day. We've a(nother) load of washing on to go out this morning.

Nola, I do not miss the relentless baby days, it has to be said. I hope you're feeling better today.

Enjoy London, 70.

Enjoy London, 70.

It was lovely and sunny here this morning, and then it's been cold and raining this afternoon. Typical April weather, really!

The rain has stopped for the school run, though, so small mercies and all that 😁

HernamewasNOLA · 21/04/2023 23:01

Thank you fluffy, feeling much better today after an early night. DH is off for the weekend now so it’ll be nice to have some help.

Took the DC out for our Friday breakfast at the cafe this morning. I love these moments with them, it makes me sad to think that before I know it they’ll be in school and I won’t be able to have these little rituals.

London potter about was lovely , even though it tipped down most of the morning , over 9,000 steps which is good for an ancient like me

I need to go to Costco tomorrow , I'm dragging my DS with me to push the trolley - I'm joining you on the Dodgy Arm Bench , I did something to my right shoulder which has just recovered so he's pushing the trolley
Also its good for him to see the price of household things , he doesn't pay any rent/keep as he's a Student but he can contribute by helping .
And I;ll quiz him about road signs and driving on the good old M25 (I;m driving , he;s waiting to do his test )

NoWordForFluffy · 22/04/2023 08:41

There won't be much room on the bench soon, 70! We'll have to squeeze up! I'm glad you're on the mend. 😊

We're rattling round to another Ruldolph Day next week. They come round so quickly! Xmas Grin

It's started wet here today, but I think it's meant to be dry later. I'm not sure whether to go to the allotment today or tomorrow. It's only weeding that needs doing, so as you can imagine, I'm very enthusiastic about going!

In exciting news, my tomato seedlings and my chilli seedlings are coming through. I've only room for the tomatoes in the unheated greenhouse, so hopefully they'll be OK. They're outdoor varieties, so 🤞 I've got fleece on them overnight too.
