I’m seeking inspiration. Some of DCs cousins are with their French grandparents for Christmas and all of them have agreed we’ll do a gingerbread house competition in the new year. A very competitive pack of children v artistically challenged parents whose walls normally fall over!

This is ours; as many sweets were eaten as made it onto the house...probably more tbh. It has several structural issues going on & I'm surprised it hasn't collapsed yet

I always get my icing wrong. How do I make it nice and strong for piping?

Mix the icing sugar with egg whites, not water.

What have people used for the windows? I use boiled sweets but the results are inconsistent. This year very frothy and sticky (though they still work).
