What are yours?

I really don't like the band aid one, I get that it's for charity but it just grates on me and although the message of charity is done with good intentions it just seems a bit white saviour-ish

I don't know that I have a top favourite, I like most of the others I've heard - at the moment it's probably the ed/Elton one.

I'm making a playlist for Christmas day so interested to hear others favourites, I might find some I've forgotten about!

God it’s so good to see other people hate Fairytale, I’m just fed up of it!! Also don’t like Taylor Swift’s one. Fave Bing and David Bowie, also The Waitresses (you’ll know it when you hear it!) Also like Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson’s ones

I like most of the 70s and 80s ones because they remind me of my childhood Christmases, I guess it's the association and nostalgia I enjoy as much as anything.

Hate:
Absolutely anything by Michael bloody Buble, non stop tuneless drivel.
Little Saint Nick by the Beach Boys

I like Smith and Burrows When the Thames Froze, don’t mind The Darkness. The rest of them can get in the bin.

A very old one but Jim Reeves singing Silver Bells as it whisks me back to the nostalgia of belief and family and all things magical

Cliff Richards and Rod Stewart's versions of anything

I love O Holy Night, Celine Dion’s version is quite good and I’ve surprised myself by quite liking the Ed Sheeran one!

I hate myself for saying it, and I hate him even more but I love ‘Another Rock and Roll Christmas’ because it takes me back to some truly wonderful memories of childhood.

I don’t mind most Christmas songs but not a fan of the over worked, over sung new takes on old songs!

I loathe all of them without exception and this time of year. Roll on the new year.

I hate most of the popular ones that are always played like Mistletoe and Wine, Last Christmas, I Wish it Could Be Christmas Every Day, Feed The World.

I like Carol of the Bells, Fairytale of New York (only when played loudly), Mary's Boy Child and most of the 1950s type ones.

I love all the Christmas songs especially In Dulce Dubilo apart from Pipes of Peace, I hate that song!

I utterly loathe Fairy Tale of New York. It's just utterly fucking depressing and the guy can't sing shit. He sounds drunk and slurring his words. The fact he's singing about being in a drunk tank is just so cringe.

I also detest Wizzard's I Wish it Could Be Christmas Every Day. Hearing "IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!" blare out of the speakers is like nails on. Chalkboard for me. I cannot turn it off fast enough.

I wish these two songs would get cancelled.

Gaudete by Steeleye Span is probably my favourite, but Erasure did a nice set of variations on the theme. I also really like Ring Christmas Bells. Also rather grown to like Aled Jones treble/ tenor duet The Snowman

I really dislike Driving Home for Christmas, what a real dirge.

I hate this time of year as my Sainsbury's Saturday night shop is ruined by blinkin Buble and his rubbish. Seems like a nice bloke, but please stop the music, please. I find most Christmas songs to be filled with heartbreak and disappointment, and can never understand why people seem to like this. Especially Last Christmas, bloody hell. So most of them would be on the hate list, but for me especially Kylie and her excruciating Santa Baby one. Also It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas has me leaving the room immediately. I can't take it.
