Disney ultimate quiz book (looks like a teen/ Disney loving adult appropriate gift) £3.50 on amazon here

Also one of the wonky donkey books (a wonky donkey surprise?) Down to £1.97 on amazon. Just type it into the search as my phone is being a pest.

Adelais · 16/12/2022 21:22

Duplo Gingerbread house is down to £15 on Amazon. Cheapest I've seen it so far amzn.to/3BJ4jbM

Soscrewed · 16/12/2022 21:41

2.4lg of celebrations is £16.70 on amazon here

You could divide them into little gift bags, the range has some cute little cardboard houses to hang on the tree for a pound or so that would fit a wee handful and make a nice gift. Or you could just eat the whole lot (and gift the Bounty bars to your in laws).

For those thinking of DPD deliveries this may help (in terms of avoiding them!):

www.dpd.co.uk/content/products_services/uk_issues.jsp

I am shopping again tomorrow for replacement gifts, most of DS Birthday presents haven't arrived yet and that was 1 Dec. It's a nightmare! Totally uninspired gifts and not what we wanted to get.

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 16/12/2022 22:01

Have to say DPD is the only courier that’s been on time & reliable for us this month. Actually, fedex too. Everyone else has been a nightmare.

I do think a lot of it varies by area

That’s good to know about FedEx. I’ve ordered something today and, painfully, paid £4.50 for express delivery which was FedEx rather then getting the free delivery which was a choice of RM or Evri.

I’m waiting on a large Shein order that was dispatched on 22nd Nov via RM. Shein have refunded me for it so I reordered the whole lot and they’ve sent three things via Evri (which I’m fairly hopeful I’ll receive) and the rest by RM again. Annoyingly the RM parcel contains stocking fillers and I’m doubtful I’ll see that this side of Xmas, if ever, so need to go RL shopping tomorrow to get back ups. I doubt the original parcel will ever turn up.

user143677433 · 16/12/2022 22:33

So frustrating about lost parcels. I confess I had forgotten about all the disruption when I ordered. I paid to be able to pick a delivery day when DH was out. It’s his present and is likely to be very obvious from the packaging as to what it is.

Please can someone help me find a novelty present for dh? I've just realised all his presents are totally dull! Not looking to spend too much just want something unexpected.

Also my boss. Not long started a new job so don't really know him that well. Hes very into football and golf. Any ideas appreciated

novelty ideas (sorry not sure how much is too much)

Adventure hammock

Slackline

Pineapple slicer or Egg slicer or other fun/useful kitchen gadget

A fun card game

Remote control light bulb (or a smart version for Alexa etc)

A crimpit

for your boss how about Light up golf balls (Nb I know nothing about golf)

What can I get for the lovely people in the beauty salon I go to for my nails, lashes, eyebrows etc? I was thinking about slinging in a tub of Celebrations when I'm passing next week for them all to share but can anyone think of anything a bit more special? They really are very nice and have become more like friends this year.

Completely unrelated but does anyone know of a cooperative game the three of us could play with our 6 year old DD? She does not do well losing and whilst that is a valuable lesson to learn I'd rather teach it another day and keep the peace on Christmas.

Itsfridaynightok · 16/12/2022 23:46

Not sure if anyone has already posted this as I haven't caught up yet but studio have loads of kids dressing gowns for £3 and pjs for £4

Don’t know if it’s your sorta thing but I took some Krispy Kreme doughnuts into work & they went down a treat ..
12 original were around £9/10

TheSoddingCat · 17/12/2022 00:10

@Disneyland2022 Yes!! That's a brilliant idea, perfect, thank you so much!

buckeejit · 17/12/2022 00:15

@TheSoddingCat dobble or dobble junior would be pretty good. Not sure if there's other cooperative things that wouldn't take ages to play...

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 17/12/2022 02:52

Hello all, has anyone got a Lakeland code they wouldn’t mind sharing? Thank you

Peabody25 · 17/12/2022 05:41

@TheSoddingCat we got this for DS when he was a similar age, now 9, and he still loves playing it. Gamewright | Outfoxed! Game | Board Game | Ages 5+ | 2-4 Players | 20 Minutes Playing Time amzn.eu/d/gfX4zIo

Smashed grapes driving me insane here too 😡

4 NOV Ordered 2 (bogof deal).
2 DEC Shipping notice that has tracking number that cannot be tracked sent.
10 DEC requested PayPal refund.
16 DEC Still no delivery and tracking info still doesn't work but smashed grapes have contacted PayPal to update on the said same tracking detail that again still doesn't work.

Just want my money back and to never hear from them again.

Ah, the twist in my saga is that my tracking info also doesn't work!

Maybe they should have just refunded me, bearing in mind we no longer have a contract, as I brought it to an end before they 'dispatched' it (which I'm dubious about).

I will get my refund, no matter how long it takes.

Holidayqueen1 · 17/12/2022 07:02

@KavvLar what a deal! I have just tried but seems to have run out sadly! Thanks for posting about it!

Bezzi · 17/12/2022 07:59

@TheSoddingCat
We bought Bank Attack after recommendations on here last year and the kids loved it. They are 9 and 6. It's a collaborative game, 4 of you work together to rob the bank. There are different difficulty levels and it's so much fun. And it's half price at the moment and only around a tenner!

Didyeaye · 17/12/2022 08:00

Mama surprise Guinea pig is in stock on Amazon for delivery before Xmas if anyone is still looking

Pachangas · 17/12/2022 08:02

@TheSoddingCat another recommendation for Outfoxed - my 6 year who refuses to engage with winning and losing, really loves it and it’s a good/clever concept I think

newroundhere · 17/12/2022 08:23

Another vote here for Outfoxed!

whoknows1230 · 17/12/2022 08:24

My FedEx delivery I mentioned last night is actually a DPD one (it definitely said FedEx on the website!)and it’s due for delivery this morning!

lemonsmum · 17/12/2022 08:28

@TheSoddingCat another vote for outfoxed
