Done, done & done. Bought DH’s watch today and my Christmas card to him as is our tradition to exchange cards.
My physical health has been getting increasingly worse so it’s a big relief to not have to make any more trips or decisions.

DD(20) stayed over and she and DH put the tree up mostly for me as I love it. It’s very nice of them. Sitting next to it is cheering me up.

DH can deal with food. I would be happy with crumpets for Christmas dinner if I’m honest.

Yes all done. Also have some major health issues and currently in hospital so i wanted it done early so that when I get out I can rest and enjoy the run up

babynoname22 · 05/12/2022 21:05

99%. Needed to do it on the four weeks full pay I get before my mat pay is really crap

FilthyforFirth · 05/12/2022 21:06

Also done. My big aim is bought and wrapped by Dec1st. Never managed it but close this year! I would say I am 80% wrapped.

nancydroo · 05/12/2022 21:10

I would be done but the deliveries aren't turning up even though it's not Royal Mail. Ten days and counting for the last three and it's for prexmas birthdays not Christmas. I wish I had some nice presents bought for me but I had my time when I was a kid I guess

Sidking · 05/12/2022 21:11

I came to say yes, but I've just remembered I need to get some biscuits and sweets for my grandad. We see them hopefully this weekend so I'll do that this week

Everyone else is done and wrapped

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 05/12/2022 21:17

Yes done, but slightly behind in getting the decs up but I will have done this week. I also have health issues so I like to be all finished by the beginning of December so I can relax and enjoy the run up to Christmas. I’d never be able to physically manage everything (nativities, school fairs, pantomimes, Santa visits etc..) as well as shopping, wrapping and decorating. In the past I’ve missed so much with my DDs due to my health so I'm determined I'm missing nothing this year.

IamChipmunk · 05/12/2022 21:17

Done buying. Just some wrapping to do once we have sorted kids stuff into santa and us!

MammaWeasel · 05/12/2022 21:17

Yes! Bought and wrapped the last gift today, so we're all done. until the dreaded twitch

Yeah it’s about time women were respected for doing the bulk of unpaid caring work for children and other vulnerable people. It’s just not okay. Have you read the book Pregnant then screwed? I would say I recommend it but it make steam come out of your ears. 😡

I hope you have a successful hospital stay. And that you are in one with decent food. 💕❤️‍🩹

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS yeah I understand. It’s really hard having a health condition and trying to enjoy everything that your kids are involved in. DD is 20 now so that’s not an issue for me anymore. Just remember having a parent with a health condition can lead to kids growing up to be very empathetic and caring young people.

Yep done and wrapped

AutisticLegoLover · 05/12/2022 22:19

Another one here with health conditions and also looking after my mum and 2 dc while chasing a 3rd dc and all the professionals involved in her care. Throw in Christmas and birthdays and it can all get overwhelming. I am pretty much done with my shopping, I just need to get 3 things I think. The Christmas tree is being delivered later this week and we will decorate it and my mum's this weekend. Once the tree is up I will get wrapping. There's a birthday to wrap for first though and a cake to bake. I still haven't decided what type of cake to do. I know the design but not the flavour or type. Once the birthday is done then it's full on Christmas. I need to get everything out and look at it. A list is all well and good but I like to see what I've bought. I had planned to cut back this year but I have failed spectacularly and am now doing a no spend January to make up for it 🙈
Festive hugs to all those struggling 🎄

ChristmasCwtch · 05/12/2022 22:30

Everything bought and wrapped. Even Santa has wrapped all the toys and stocking fillers (which is in response to the last few years of frantic and stressful Christmas Eve wrapping!!)

I’ve got 3 orders due to arrive for DH’s presents and it’s a quick wrap for those and into the present sack.

Impressed with myself this year 😂

ChristmasCwtch · 05/12/2022 22:32

I need to buy something for the postman and then I’m done done!!

fatsinglereadytomingle · 05/12/2022 22:34

I only started my shopping today....it did not go well. I've got tomorrow and Wednesday to get it all finished.

thaegumathteth · 05/12/2022 22:37

I think I am except maybe some chocolate for stockings

Annoyingly waiting on a few things arriving but have done probably 60/70% of the wrapping. Have mobility issues and chronic pain so can't leave it all to last minute.

YorkieTheRabbit · 05/12/2022 22:43

All bought, waiting for deliveries, Evri should have been today but I received an email saying that it was delayed until tomorrow and Royal Mail is due tomorrow. Haven’t wrapped anything yet but I’ve got the paper, ribbon etc.
I’ve just ordered the last bits to go in the crackers, they should arrive next week.
All house decorations are done just need to put the Christmas tree outside by the front door and the hanging baskets up, I’ll do those tomorrow Xmas Smile

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 05/12/2022 22:45

I am soooooooo close. Just need something for my nana and I'm done. And she is impossible to buy for. Last year she asked for vagisil and a black bic pen.

Thank you @pinkksugarmouse im very lucky that they are very caring children, even at their young ages. They never get upset when I have to go to bed or miss things, but I can see the sad look in their eyes. I’ve missed seeing Santa with them for 4 years now, I don’t want anything to stop me this time. I’ve even booked a 2nd visit in at our local fire station so I have 2 chances to go this year.

That’s kind of sweet that she asked for those things.

mam0918 · 06/12/2022 13:09

Pretty much, need to buy my DD a cup to match her brothers and DS toiletries for xmas eve and the chocolate oranges but otherwise Im done with the kids stuff.

DH stuff pretty much all ordered.

Still need sweets and one or two gifts for extended family and then stuff like food for xmas dinner and crackers but otherwise all done.

NoNamesLeft234678 · 06/12/2022 13:32

I wrapped presents for my friend and her kids last night and gave them to her today as I don't know if we will see each other again before Christmas in between all the different activities and illnesses!!

I have finished buying presents just waiting for a few to arrive for my little one, boyfriend and grandma 😋 The only other thing I am still thinking of buying is a bubble machine for my little one and I will get that tomorrow or Saturday after gymnastics 🤗

I'm now just waiting for a night when my little one is asleep before my boyfriend gets home so I can put on a Christmas movie and have a wrapping session 🤣

xogossipgirlxo · 06/12/2022 14:02

Yes, all bought (and sent, if to family abroad), now some wrapping to be done.
