Not much use in them using royal mail tracked 48hr the days before a 48h strike 🤔😂

My degustabox account has a link to dpd but when I click through, it has been showing as ‘not received’ for days. I’ve messaged them on social media a couple of times and had no reply. Last year it arrived in plenty of time, I’m not impressed this time round.

I've just finally got in touch with then, they advised DPD will be picking up all of the advent calendars this evening and they will all be delivered tomorrow. We will see.

Thanks @kateandme sliding bracelet is very possibly the answer

@Scout2016 and @ColeslawSandwich I'm off to look into those thank you

@Closedlips where are you in the UK? I’ve found stock of the Guinea pig. Need to collect DS’s tomorrow morning and then happy to share details

Flubadubba · 29/11/2022 15:41

@chocolatepudandchocolatesauce right? Smells of delaying tactics.

Oh that's exciting, I'm in South Wales so I feel like the chances of it being near me may be slim..

ChristmasCwtch · 29/11/2022 15:49

@Closedlips I’ll send you a PM. May work

Piccalino3 · 29/11/2022 15:51

@Cockle1234 thanks for that 🤞. Getting hold of them is like trying to make a GP appointment!!

Reposting as edited… I’m looking for a football quiz book or small game for my son but only modern up to date stuff? All the ones I’ve seen have questions from way back that he won’t know. Does such a thing exist?

Annexlife · 29/11/2022 15:54

Has anyone else had issues with Dunelm? I keep getting emails telling me items ordered are now no longer available so they can't complete my order, and they still haven't sent anything that was on the order!

BloodyMabel · 29/11/2022 16:15

@SleeptightDaisy I had this with hot diamonds last year, did even get the gift bag, just the plastic bag rattling around in the big box. I had bought quite a bit from them, not all discounted and was so disappointed I emailed them and they sent me out a box.

Oh great. Do let us know. There are some really pretty ones on there.

Mancbee · 29/11/2022 16:33

I'm just catching up so not sure if it's already been mentioned but Lakeland have free delivery on Christmas gifts until 5th Dec, no min spend.

Talisin · 29/11/2022 15:17

Not unless you have a letter box large enough for a sausage dog to fit through!

Mine was shaped more like a squashed sausage dog (smashed sausage dog?) @ChristmastimeMummydrinkssomewine and @Talisin

noodledoodler · 29/11/2022 16:48

My beer 52 advent calendar arrived a few days ago and I ordered quite late on after the op posted it, its fab btw

buckeejit · 29/11/2022 16:52

@OdeToAutumn thank you (I think!) for the sho heads up, I've ordered a mystery box because apparently I can't help myself. Perhaps will be good for ds to take something hot to school..

I’ve just received this. It’s got quizzes and books.
I think it’s pretty modern, maybe you could spilt it up?

I received the wine and meat tasting box and it easily fitted through our letter box. It was a very long box, with the pouches of wine arranged in a line and the meat at one end.

Amazonmulu · 29/11/2022 16:58

Can anyone suggest a gift for a 40yo friend who seems to have everything 🤦🏻‍♀️ My budget is £30. TIA x

Adelais · 29/11/2022 17:01

For anyone who bought the Dairy Milk..
I ordered 4, 3 for gifts and 1 to ‘test’ and it tasted absolutely fine to me.

nothingcomestonothing · 29/11/2022 17:08

15% off full price items and free delivery at Celtic and co, valid until the end of January. doesn't look to be single use - AW22TR

IDontKnowWhatYouMean · 29/11/2022 17:15

Degustabox update: I've now had a DPD notification and it's being delivered tomorrow.

Not bargionous but can anyone recommend any nice serving bowls/dishes? I really want to go all out on the table this year and have a lovely centre piece

I love the white Sophie conran ones, they are sometimes on offer via Ocado or John Lewis. Or Anthropologie for more quirky styles.

Thank you! I had been starting to worry, but as mine are all for gifts I couldn’t test them
