For me it's always been an angel, it's what I was brought up with. My grandparents have had the same angel since they were married 60 years ago! My mum also had an angel.

Dp thinks it should be a star. I'm not against a star!

but what do you have?

Recently bought a lovely angel from Vinted. Have long wanted one but they are surprisingly expensive to buy normally! Can't wait for her to arrive.

It's almost antique now! My parents always had a star too.

I have a robin. Its years old, and the poor thing has lost his tail. I should get another one, but he is part of the family tradition now.

Weeping Angel

I had an incredibly talented woman make an angel doll of my DD. She makes quite whimsical dolls and they are stunning. I wouldn't say the likeness to DD is that much, but she matched her eye colour, and she carries a little bag with DD's name embroidered on it. They're about 9" tall.

She's called something like Wildwood, but I can't find her exact website, here's a couple of examples of her fairies, the blonde one's head is very similar to the one we had done of DD...

We have a flower and a butterfly.

A fairy as we did as children. Although we do have a little tree in the dining room with an Angel on top and mostly Angel decorations on it that a nativity scene sits underneath. We also have a hallway tree which the children decorate and has whatever they fancy on top as do the trees they have in their rooms. Sorry but you did ask and I love Christmas trees.

My Mum used to dress up one of our dolls as a fairy to go on the tree - a different one every year. I have an Angel which I bought 28 yrs ago when we were first married. She has to have a fairy light up her skirt too!

Back in the day it was a star. I did an angel or fairy when the girls were little.

Last year i splurged in the sales and bought a beautiful Georg Jensen star topper, only to find it’s too heavy to sit nicely on the top of tree (we only get a 5-6 foot tree), so I’ll have to go back to the butterfly we’ve used for the past few years.

I think mine must be a fairy as she has wings, but she’s definitely not an angel as she’s wearing a rather glamorous red velvet dress. I think she’s probably about 30 years old.
