Thanks @Robstersgirl for the title. Wonder if it was the thread that did it!

@wimbler do you know if these are boxed

VeruccaSalty · 25/11/2022 11:48

Is there are difference in gameplay between Ticket to Ride and Ticket to ride Europe?

chillimice · 25/11/2022 11:50

Yes thank you @Soscrewed! The code also continues to work if you check out with different emails each time..

MammaRoly · 25/11/2022 11:54

Thank you so much for the Sarah Raven suggestion with 50% Black Friday, that's another tricky hard-to-buy-for relative sorted. I have got a refer a friend code so will pop on referral board now

usernotfound0000 · 25/11/2022 11:55

@VeruccaSalty No, plays the same but the Europe routes are shorter so different tactics required.

slipperypenguin · 25/11/2022 11:57

Changingagain · 25/11/2022 11:39

I've held out for Black Friday on the very small chance that Smyths might have a code / blanket reduction. I know it's unlikely but has anyone seen any before I make a large order?

The only code I ever remember for Smyths was a £5 or £10 the last weekend of September. They havent done that the last 2 years. Im sure a previous poster a few threads back also had a daughter who worked for Smyths and confirmed no codes and just discounts on individual items

BloodyMabel · 25/11/2022 11:58

Beanies flavoured coffee are £2 a jar today and free delivery over £10 with code blackfriday

wimbler · 25/11/2022 11:59

@bombemma yes they do "All Apple Certified Refurbished products are packaged in a brand-new white box and will be sent to you with free shipping and returns." (stated on their website)

wimbler · 25/11/2022 12:00

@VeruccaSalty there is a difference between the ticket to ride europe and ticket to ride London. the former has extra rules from what I can see. We've just received the europe version after loving the London one!

TwinsAndTiramisu · 25/11/2022 12:01

Scout2016 · 25/11/2022 11:28

@TwinsAndTiramisu I am so tempted by these but I feel like the elephant one is by far the best. We will have 3 kids with stockings so I want it to seem even not risk squabbles. What do you reckon, how have you found them in real life?

I know you are something of an expert on these so if you can recommend somewhere else to look too that would be ace.

I've received the elephant, duck, butterfly, snail and UFO (rest now on their way Grin ) and I would say that the elephant is the best as well. But DH thinks the UFO is, because the mechanism is "very clever for a little thing like that". Which I think will be lost on littlest DS, but elder DS who likes gadgets will appreciate how it works. I guess it depends on how old your DC are.

I think the second best is the duck, because he seems to do quite a lot as well, he's off in different directions, sort of spins and lurches about like he's pecking. Then it's a tie between the snail and the butterfly. The butterfly DD will love because it's so fluttery. But the snail is just plain funny, it's so bloody fast, and it's neck bibs in and out as it tears off. I don't know why this is so funny but it is.

I haven't found these ones anywhere else for this price, but it kind of depends how fussed you are. Because we keep ours and build a collection year on year, we look for the most weird and different ones we can. Basic chattering teeth, or those generic santa/penguin/racing reindeer that just sort of shuffle along wouldn't cut it here, don't you know Wink I'm pleased with what's arrived, so I've ordered the rest now in case these become even more hard to get in subsequent years.

I've always used a local toy shop but have had to look elsewhere hence the difficulty in finding these. I have found some others previously in a Christmas Craft Fayre, and then sometimes at places like farm shops when they do their Christmas section. Which I know is not much actual help, but if you're going to anywhere like that, keep an eye.

Chocolatepumpkin · 25/11/2022 12:02

Thank you for the 50 % off squishmallows just been and was told to grab another as they were also 3 for 2! So got a massive sponge bob, a panda in a onsie and a stack of pancakes for £23 😊

Turtle Doves do lovely cashmere gloves, hats etc. I ordered my sister some fingerless gloves as I know she suffers with poor circulation while working at home. There is currently a Black Friday deal on which is offering a good saving on lots of items (not just gloves). Using "THANKYOU10" discount code gets you an additional 10% off on top - absolute bargain!

TwinsAndTiramisu · 25/11/2022 12:11

I'm also trying to buy the red shearling iQushion FitFlops in a size 6. Which I think are gopping, but DM loves. They are £70, which is insane when you look at them, imho. If I sign up to the FitFlops website I get a 15% off code for first order (the code is WELCOME) if anyone else needs it. This only takes them down to £59.50.

Anyone seen a better deal anywhere else please? I'm really struggling with the idea of £60 for these, I think you can get far nicer for far less, but she's adamant on these.

FunWithFlags81 · 25/11/2022 12:14

I have been to Claires and have got 6 reversible squishmallows for £18!! Bargain so thanks to the OP! 50% off plus buy 3 get 3 free. Some for my little girl and some for the school party present box! I’m tempted to go back for more…

FilthyforFirth · 25/11/2022 12:15

Thanks for the scrawlrbox. Got 3 boxes for SIL who is studying art at uni for £12. Well pleased with that!

Moana123 · 25/11/2022 12:18

My online order for squishmallows from Claire’s has just been cancelled… not going to get a chance to get into a store today

TheDrsDocMartens · 25/11/2022 12:19

Lochjeda · 25/11/2022 10:48

@TheDrsDocMartens my friends getting her son a voucher for a skiing and a snowboarding lesson at the dry ski slopes, one of the multi games sports tables if you have space? Basketball stand and ball, green machine? Lego set, metal detector. Is he quite young for his age or mature? Does he still believe in Santa? If he is mature enough id just go back and have another convo. I had to tell mine he wasn't getting a gaming pc as it was about 2 grand to get one as good as a ps5 so he changed his list.

Young! He’s suspicious of Santa but in pretty much every way he’s young.
Hes number 4 after 2 active sisters so limited to what we don’t have. I’ll have a look at activities. He likes outdoor climbing better than indoor so might be something there.

Foo2 · 25/11/2022 12:20

@slipperypenguin thank you for the Pokemon Violet tip!

NWnature · 25/11/2022 12:23

@redjoker thanks for the Fenwick heads up. I got the three bargain Schliech animals as stocking fillers :)

bombemma · 25/11/2022 09:48

Also looking for deals on an Apple Watch.

Also photo calendars? All offering great deals but I've fell for this before and once you add everything on your still getting ripped off

Snapfish and Photobox have 50% off on the calendars and just add postage on at the checkout.

caz198917 · 25/11/2022 12:30

A hot diamonds tip! If you have an email with a birthday code, use it on top of the code BIRTHDAY. I got a £35 pair of earrings for a fiver!!!

Herefordeals · 25/11/2022 12:36

Can't seem to get Scrawlr Box code to work, only takes £1.50 off. What am I doing wrong?

MammaRoly · 25/11/2022 12:40

Fossil have Black Friday sale on, and Topcashback are offering 30% cashback for rest of today (if it tracks).

Also I should say for Topcashback I have had several purchases not track at all, and I have had success logging them with their missing cashback claim/customer service.

redjoker · 25/11/2022 12:45

33% off at Nordic socks
