We're not having Christmas lunch this year.

We've decided on a lavish Christmas brunch, long walk, then dinner in evening.

Give me your most decadent breakfast/brunch that won't destroy the kitchen but will feel special.

Bacon rolls with brie and cranberry are absolutely delicious with Bucks Fizz. We have smoked salmon, prawns and pate with toast about 2ish.

Love marking as having dinner on Christmas Eve too

Nigella Lawson has a Mistletoe cocktail, which we do for Christmas brunch.
For 10 - 200ml chilled lime cordial
750ml chilled ginger beer
25ml fresh lime juice
Mix in a large jug with ice, serve in a frosted glass. Those who want an alcoholic version can substitute some of the ginger beer with Prosecco.

Take it up a level with truffled scrambled eggs. Just add a little truffle oil and make as usual.

We always do this and have a late meal later in the day. Eggs benedict/royale etc, frozen (but cooked) pastries and bucks fizz works really well!

My younger kids have cereal at, say, 7, if they're hungry then.

I'm liking the idea of bacon rolls with brie and cranberry though.

We make a stack of savoury croissants. Emmentil bechemel and mushrooms. Cheesy gooey, crispy and rich.
