Our washing barely lost any moisture outside today. The coastal breeze has pissed off for a few days, annoyingly.

I can't find that bloody loo roll anywhere. Sigh.

Today's task will be getting DS to try on his Christmas jumper. It should still fit as it an adult size but he's definitely grown a good 3 to 4 inches taller since last year.

No idea if his school are having a jumper day but it's best to be prepared.

God, it's cold! I can't remember whether it's always this cold in November or not. Or how much heating we usually use! I'll have to try to work it out with last year's bills. Fun times.

Our Christmas jumper day is 9 Dec, Woolly. Maybe your DS' will be too.

Minutes after I posted an email from school said that jumper day will be 13th Fluffy so I've got enough time if he does need a new one.

Afternoon. I didn't post yesterday as I had a rubbish day (truly, I had 2 work deadlines so worked loads, made sure to take time to go for a walk and bloody fell on my arse, and finished it off with a headache) 😩

Today seems better. I dropped off the first set of charity presents, everything froze overnight so I've had a lovely wintery cold walk where I needed my scarf, my work big deadlines are fine and things don't feel quite so manic (I mean they are but I feel better)

So I have a question. I have 2 friends I buy for - I've bought each of them a book and a Christmas decoration. Would it be really crap to do them a small stocking each too? I have no idea what else to get but they're both chocolate fiends.

Ooh also, I had to pop to Sainsburys last night and saw spiced blood orange & cranberry Buck's Fizz. It's was only £3.50 so I nabbed the last bottle

Crazy I would be very happy with a stocking with chocolate in to be honest.

I washed bedding for DS -not his usual red fleece set as it stains the duvet and we bought him a new mattress , duvet , pillows and matress protector so don;t want them ending up pink
So he has our old set (brushed cotton with nordic pattern) but DH didn't hang it out as it was drizzly . (Meant to be dry today <sigh> )

I'm going to swap his bedding while he's out on Thursday and cannot ptotest .

DH and I are going to a Christmas Market this weekend , just to say we've done it

I'm very bored of waking early, but it's a definite thing for me these days. I really must go and get HRT sorted!

Our washing got left out overnight and can stay there for today too! The wind has finally picked up a bit, so it may do better after its second day out there. 🤣🤣

I am up early again Fluffy. I am either coming out in sympathy with you or my joints ached (combination of the two perhaps).

I feel organised because the washing machine is on already. I am sure it won't last.

Morning. Cold again. I didn’t like the new gym so I’m going to join another one. It’s more expensive but I think it’s worth it.

ds is tired as he stayed up to watch the football last night. I realised I forgot to get the chicken out the freezer last night and now I need to buy something for dinner 🤨

Morning. Unfortunately I did the opposite of everyone else - couldn't drop off to sleep but also struggled to get myself going this morning so ended up running a bit late. Thankfully WFH means I wasn't actually late to start work but I really need to sort out my sleep!

Glad everyone liked the stocking idea. I'm going to pop to town on my lunch break and buy the stuff needed. I've left it late to come up with an idea and we're meeting for our Christmas get together tomorrow 😳 so it needs to be done asap.

Absolutely freezing again here so I'm working half dressed - top on with jumper over it but fleece pj bottoms and cosy bed socks

Cold here as well wrapped in blanket last night helped to do Christmas tree in the centre where I live so I’m happy. Tiny shopping coming tomorrow with to- up bits a Christmas oven glove can’t afford any bedding or stuff this year. But I’m happy got my tree my advent calendar that’s up now ready for tomorrow.

DH is watching "Die Hard" now , Bruce's vest is well manky .

I may have found the elusive loo roll: Iceland. I've booked a delivery first thing, so fingers crossed!

Today I blanched and froze all my sprouts - I was cooking some anyway for dinner so I did the rest to avoid a festive farty smell.

I'm off to the Birmingham Christmas market tomorrow with DH. I'll be having my first mulled wine of the season.

The cold weather seems set to continue. This is such bad news when people can't afford heating.

I hope my delivery has my loo roll on it...I'll be so disappointed! Iceland wasn't showing stock earlier this week, so it must be a recent delivery. #stalkinglooroll

Good morning all. Definitely colder here now. I have been using my hot bottle at night.
M&S have their clementine Buck's Fizz reduced to £3 at the moment plus a pomegranate and something fizz. I bought one bottle because I was coming back from work on public transport with a heavy bag.
I am going out a Carol concert this evening and need to put out DD's advent calendar this morning!

I’ve got lots of driving to do today, not sure my 78 miles left in the tank will cover it annoyingly. Dd has an orthodontist appointment after school too.

So pleased you found the toilet roll Fluffy. I never buy the festive rolls. Don't know why really.

I have a feeling I may have put 2 rolls away with the decs last year as we didn't use them and we were going away for new year 🤔 Will have to see if I'm right when we get the boxes down on the weekend.

I'm having a boring, admin filled day today but I'm finished early (4) to get ready as it's my Christmas get together with friends tonight.
I've sorted their stockings (chocolates, cookies, Haribo, fluffy socks, sparkling nail varnish, face masks, lip balm) plus they have a book and bauble each.
I'm excited to see them, plus we're going for food and cocktails and a Christmassy evening (Love Actually with a love orchestra)
