Bit stuck about what to get my DD for Christmas and she’s only asked for a few items of clothing and make up. She doesn’t need anything electrical and not really into shows etc. 🤷‍♀️

Gucci or Tiffany silver bracelet, Urban Outfitters clothes, Victoria Secrets pyjamas, YSL Libre - 17dd

Confusedcatlady1 · 26/11/2022 17:58

An idea on another thread suggested a personalised Pandora-type charm from eBay which I found helpful, I went for Etsy in the end but have bought my daughter a charm with a picture of her puppy on as well as a charm suited to her hobby - both were reasonably priced and cost less than one official charm from Pandora.

Driving lessons at 15?

There is a Young Driver center near us. DD went there twice and really likes it

I've bought a galaxy light for DD - she loves her ambient lighting and this has a remote and different constellations and settings. Half price at the moment (£70 to £35) and I have an extra 10% discount code if anyone is interested.

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 27/11/2022 20:52

AF1s
Bubble tea kit
Slippers
Bananagrams game
Huge jar Nutella
Voucher for clothes shop
Slushy maker
Pandora bead
Leggings (specific request)
Top (ditto)
Fluffy bag (asda)
Jelly sweets
Box of chocolates
Pyramid puzzle
And stocking fillers.
I know it looks a bit but we have no other family so what she gets from us is it.

Any chance you can link this please, sounds like the exact thing my daughter has asked for

BastardtheCat · 27/11/2022 22:17

@Moana123

astrollight.com/discount/BASKETCAT?ref=Ffi4abxA

That's the one - if you click that link, you'll get a discount because I bought one be earlier today (at least I think that's how it works).

BastardtheCat · 27/11/2022 22:18

I think they also sell different lights and projectors. I didn't really look at the other options - the first one suited my budget, plus it was half price x

paulmccartneysbagel · 28/11/2022 14:05

My DD is 13, so far she has got

Trainers
So....? Perfume set
Make up
Bead set for bracelets
Make up bag
Heartstopper yearbook

She's also got a birthday coming up so I need to get her a few more bits.

Was thinking of a watch? Do they all wear smart watches these days? I can't afford a very expensive one and am worried a cheaper one will just break after a few months.

Bought my other daughter a sunset lamp (Amazon).

GythaOggsDaughterInLaw · 29/11/2022 08:51

Salt lamps are also popular!

Crazykatie · 29/11/2022 08:55

£20 gift vouchers they can buy what they want, a total cop out.

@bonnielochs what record player did you go for please? I've no idea what I should be looking at. @BT11 I've seen some cute looking suitcase ones in HMV but don't know if they are any good or even if it really matters as she's 12!

This one has fab reviews! I don't think it matters at that age to be honest but this is a lovely starter player 🙂

I got here this one, from Argos www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7164138.htm?cmpid=APP003

My mum has that one and it's done her very well for several years so far, so I know it must be pretty good. My mum didn't attach the legs on hers; it's just sat on a shelf so I know it's functional in different ways. Thats handy as I don't know where my daughter will put hers. Also, big bonus is that its Bluetooth compatible - my daughter is welded to her wireless headphones!

heidipi · 29/11/2022 10:27

These threads are so useful! Off the back of it I’ve just ordered 12 yo DD some Next ugg-style boots. Weighted throw next on my list…

Already got a Stranger Things t-shirt (Asda) and Wednesday Addams pin brooch thing from EBay yesterday as she’s now hooked on the new Netflix series.

euff · 29/11/2022 10:45

Thanks @BT11 and @bonnielochs will look at those now. I know what you mean about the headphones, DD has one in permanently. Space is definitely a factor. She might have to get a job soon to pay for the records to play thoughGrin I'm getting a bit worked up not having bought anything yet but was hoping for concert tickets for DD as first option.

@heidipi good shout will look up Wednesday stuff today. I got her a little eggo pin badge for her birthday which she liked. She had us binge watch the whole thing at the weekend! I really wish they would make us wait as we have no willpower ourselvelves!

BearSoFair · 29/11/2022 10:48

DD is 15, she's got a terrarium kit, wall tapestry, and a Primark oodie...still one or two things to get but a bit stuck for ideas too, this is the first year we haven't really had 'art stuff' to fall back on as she mostly uses a tablet now!

Last year we got her a ramen recipe book and set of bowls, spoons, chopsticks etc that was a big hit and still used regularly!

Sparkletastic · 29/11/2022 11:06

Heartstopper yearbook
Bershka hoody
Perfume storage shelf for dresser
Nina Ricci perfume
ASOS pyjamas
Scented candle
