Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

A bit of competition for the thread title this time - thanks for all the contenders and nominees and @Someaddedsugar for the title. This says a lot about your phones autocorrect I think Grin 🤣

@Arewesureitisntbedtime I officially love you! There is no minimum spend with that code and free delivery - so I just got a load of free stocking fillers!

Glad to be able to help - hopefully your orders will come without any problems

My 2 arrived yesterday, massive bargain at 2 for £10. I wouldn't split them up as individual gifts but am definitely going to gift one of the boxes, they're really nicely packaged and have about £70 worth of product in so great for a stocking filler or small gift. I got the February and April boxes. I'd use every item in the Feb box so will be keeping that one for myself 😊

I'd have been livid if I'd paid £70 for what I received tbh.

It was all ok but nothing really special. My youngest will appreciate the eyebrow gel and eyeliner but they are not decent sized products imo. In fact the eyebrow gel is almost to small to use easily.

Maybe I just got 2 dud boxes?

I've used shampoo and like it. The body cream smells really horrid.

Boxes are lovely, yes.

@Dreamingofwalden amd @Roughasabadgersbum thank you for the advice, I will make sure I check on Black Friday for any deals and get OH to look as well, as he does shift work and may see before I do.

PumpkinSpicedTea · 25/10/2022 17:37

Any ideas along the lines of Sky dancer for a school friend 5th birthday party? 😕Budget £10

laura1711 · 25/10/2022 17:38

Can I please ask about footballs best 4u, just looking for my son and the prices are amazing but can’t seem to find any reviews. Thank you 😊

Hi all, I posted a little last year but not had much of a chance this year yet due to work. I’m after a blue Kiddiezoom camera for DS who will be 3 and a half at Christmas. Does anyone know if they were reduced in price last Black Friday deals or know if there are any discounts now. Thank you.

Not last year but the year before we got one for our son and they were reduced at Smyths. Pretty sure that was black Fri. Still going strong after 2 years of abuse with a couple of very small people- love ours here

The £10 Tuesday offers are now online at Boots.

This eye and face palette which apparently was £35 might be a suitable present for someone.

These and these Clinique mascara, liner and makeup remover sets are £23 each. Normally the mascara on its own costs £23. If you buy two you get an additional £10 of points.

If you spend £50+ you can get 10% off it all using the code SAVE10

Thanks so much. I've been waiting for mascara sets to be on offer. I bought 2, so got £10 of points, added an Orchard Game (cheaper than anywhere) and got the 10% off £50, so the sets worked out at £20.70 each- perfect for my £20 budget.

So chuffed. I'll buy stocking fillers for my 2 teen DS with my points.

This!

How do they work? If they're 'fakes' how do they get away with selling them? Don't want to order then they're rotten quality/ obvious fakes , but I object to paying full price for teen DS (adult size)- club tops are £65-85 😱

Spend £40 at Space NK on hair care and get a hair gift free. They’ve got some good sets of haircare, like Olaplex and JVN and they do a dry shampoo I like which is two for one in a set. It’s also free delivery over £40 plus two free samples and I went through Quidco for cash back.

It won't work for me! Probably for the best as I really shouldn't buy any more Olaplex Blush

FluffyFluffMonster · 25/10/2022 18:52

Space NK wouldn't work for me either

NormalForNuneaton · 25/10/2022 18:59

Has anyone seen any gift sets of various mens fragrances suitable for an 18 year old? I've no idea what's popular with youngsters these days

DS asked for one particular one but when I asked him what it was like he had no idea and had never even smelled it!! (Nautica).

Anyway I though a selection of different ones might be an idea as he can experiment and see what he likes.

Looks like it’s sold out now. It’s disappeared from their website.

I'm sure I've seen miniature sets in Boots of Hugo boss, I think four bottles in a set.

paintyhands · 25/10/2022 19:07

@RainbowZebraWarrior thank you!

Look Fantastic has got £10 treats on tonight. Some really lovely items on there!

roaringmouse · 25/10/2022 19:27

For the posters asking about Footballsbest4u. I ordered from them last year - a football kit for my DS - it was excellent quality and my son was absolutely delighted!

LateNightTalking · 25/10/2022 19:28

Just bought this for DN for Christmas, thought it was a good price!

You wouldn't pay £70 for them. That's just what the products are worth based on full size rrp. Glossybox are £15 a month so 2 for £10 is a good discount. I've a few people I normally spend about a fiver on - drama teacher, dog minder etc and these are ideal little gift boxes for that price point.

NormalForNuneaton · 25/10/2022 19:51

@LemonFrosting the Versace one was the only one I could find. Not sure if it's the sort an 18 yo would wear ( also 5ml would be 1 application judging by the amount some youngsters wear IME 😆)

Had a bit of a bargain fail! Bought DD4 a light up, singing Christmas jumper from Vinted (£1.49!!!!) but didn't expect the devastation from DS2 that I don't have one for him.

I'm searching Vinted but I figure my chances are low. Google isn't helping me much; has anyone seen something similar on their travels?

There are a few on eBay- although prob not quite the right size (1.5-2 yrs or 3-4)
they are also ‘girls’ ones although this may not matter?
a few of the ones on there seem to be from TU so might be worth keeping an eye there in case they have something similar this year? (I recall DD having a light up Xmas tshirt from there too a few yrs ago)
I would keep stalking vinted & eBay for a while yet…
Quite fancy one for myself now!!! :)

Holeymoleymacaroni · 25/10/2022 19:58

Thank you SO much for the Tottenham shop code @Arewesureitisntbedtime !

Will be over the moon if the order isn't cancelled as I paid £4 for an insulated bottle and some socks. Might even make another order....
