Amazon sale vs Black Friday

Ok, so I haven't bought any actual gifts yet, only stocking fillers. I have been budgeting towards getting gifts around Black Friday. I've now seen that Amazon are having a Prime sale on the 11th and 12th October. Now I'm wondering whether I should buy anything at this sale (if I can work money out to) or wait until Black Friday where things might be reduced even further.

Amazon is usually the cheapest for toys at Black Friday, but now I'm wondering when the biggest reductions will be. I don't want to buy something this week for it to be cheaper on BF.

I know it's not a very specific question, but what does everyone think or what are you planning to do? Anyone know when the extended returns start?

There’s a few things I want to buy as well and wondering when is the best sale to buy them in time for Christmas

I would check the price of things you are interested in on camel camel camel , you can see the cheapest prices over the last year , including any drops for events like Black Friday . Not an exact science but will give you an idea of how the price has been fluctuating and what is your happy price to buy at , so if the price looks good over the next couple of days you know you’ve done your research .

Black Friday has been a bit disappointing over the last 4 years, nothing I want has really come up with big reductions.

I find it’s better to create a wish list of things you actually want/need and then wait for prices to drop. The only thing I really buy from Black Friday is Lego.
