Another thanks for the WH Smith code. Don't forget to go through Quidco for 6% cashback too!

spudsuliked · 09/10/2022 20:55

Oh thank you for the WHSmith code! Got the Knead Peace book (baking cook book with big names raising money for Ukraine) down to a bargainous £18.40 which I thought was good seeing as rrp is 25 and it's not out for another few weeks. Present for my brother sorted! Maybe if use to any budding bakers with a humanitarian interest!

Did a big WHSmith order yesterday. I'm gutted, I thought there were no codes this year 🥲

Magn · 09/10/2022 22:20

@Franticbutterfly me too, big Smith's shop in-store. Oh well, had some good deals including a free specific book with the new Richard Osman one that I wanted anyway (which was half price) and a load of half price new hardbacks.

Need to create my “7th child” for Jacks Club discount 😂 Some great prices on The Entertainer and the 20% birthday discount stacks with things already on sale

I've also got 10 imaginary children 🤣 I've just done an order for dd1's 14th birthday! She requested cats vs pickles and a funko mozzarella cow! Then i added these for dd2 and my friends little one for Christmas, great price and even better with 20% birthday code off on top!

My first time on these threads but I'm after any bargains of Disney Princess related things for my 2 year old (she's obsessed) books or dolls/dress up stuff etc if anyone has seen anything please let me know

TK Maxx had the wooden princess playsets in that are quite nice, plus a few other bits:
www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/search?st=Disney%20princess&sort=publishedDate-desc&facets=stockLevelStatus:inStock&page=0
Obviously it varies in local stores but they do seem to have quite a variety online too.

Superdrug is showing £3 delivery for me even though I've got over £25 quids worth in my basket. Says free delivery over £25 everywhere on the site. I'm mainland UK.

Same for me.

I did click and collect in the end.

Look on the Disney website - I got a repunzal doll in a cot and Ariel in a boat. Both were 50% off and were about £32.50. Came in absolutely huge boxes, especially the repunzal - so definitely the wow factor Christmas morning. Also, there's Disney wooden castle which keeps going down to £40 on Amazon.

Sorry *@coolpattern I lose track on here!
if you get one done I’d love to know who you use if it works out well as might be interested myself sometime. As I said Yorkshire Pet portraits look good but I don’t know anyone who has actually used them.

They are the best wee babies!

sittingonacornflake · 10/10/2022 06:42

Does anyone know where to pick up reasonably priced Hull City or Hull FC shirts? On one of the first threads someone shared a link to a site but they just had the main clubs and not Hull.

Alternatively, any bargainous Hull related gifts would be appreciated. It's to tie in with a gift I'm getting for DF who is from Hull. He has a favourite photograph of his long gone parents and it's in the window in his bedroom (looking out to sea, it's where he likes to sit and talk to them) so it's gone super faded. I've found a company that restores old photographs so I'm going to grab a a snap of the photo, get it restored and reframed and gift it with something hull related. Is the plan anyway!

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 10/10/2022 06:48

@sittingonacornflake Not necessarily bargains but Retro Clasico have a few bits

Retro Clasico

sittingonacornflake · 10/10/2022 07:17

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads oooh I remember when they were sponsored by ABI caravans - blast from the past! Thanks!

snowmanshoes · 10/10/2022 07:36

@RainbowZebraWarrior Superdrug always shows as charging for delivery until you literally pay - I’m a member and it shows as £3 delivery for me until I confirm payment then the delivery charge comes off - no idea why?

shash1982 · 10/10/2022 07:38

Whoop, I made thread title! 😊😂

Thanks @Reastie

ChristmasCwtch · 10/10/2022 07:45

@shash1982 winning at Christmas shopping life!! I’d definitely buy a lottery ticket 😂

DH is at the office today. Really hoping my ridiculously large Smiggle order for DCs arrives, so I can open and hide it without him seeing it 😆

Yeknom · 10/10/2022 07:50

TU have 20%off kids clothes - including princess costumes for those looking 👑

valentinoandme · 10/10/2022 07:50

20% off kids clothing is on at Sainsbury's. There's a minimum order amount for free click and collect through them but if you order it through the Argos site there isn't- handy if you're only getting a few bits.

sorryiasked · 10/10/2022 07:53

Hotel chocolat codes (assume generic)

Avatar Lego price drop on Amazon - first banshee flight down to £30 from £49.99

livinginhope87 · 10/10/2022 08:01

@LuckyLamp if you don't mind a digital version readly always has nee subscribers deals that give you a month free so you can look at all Christmas magazines that way.

Irritatedmum · 10/10/2022 08:47

@LuckyLamp if you’ve got a library card you can read magazines on an app for free. You’d have to sign up, download the app etc but I read about 20 magazines a month for nowt, including Good Housekeeping, all the good ones.

LuckyLamp · 10/10/2022 09:05

Amazing, thank you @livinginhope87 and @Irritatedmum

I never used to think twice about picking up a magazine, but now it seems like an unnecessary extravagance!!

LuckyLamp · 10/10/2022 09:06

Sorry, I meant to tag @lifelongfrugaleer there!! Thanks 😊

Thank you. I felt like I was going mad!

My phone doesn't help. It's from the dark ages. I should do myself a favour and treat myself to a new one for Christmas 😊

I’ve asked for mine to be removed now so hopefully others will get used.

Don’t think I need any more £5 off codes but thanks to anyone that used it 😀
