Does anyone know where I would get a scratch poster of books everyone should read suitable for dd (20). A friend has one and she was very taken by it. I looked quickly on Amazon but thought there might be nicer ones someone could recommend. Thank you.

Not on the high street sell them. Not normally bargainous though!

Cuwins · 12/10/2022 17:55

A few decent bits in Tesco toy sale on Clubcard price. My mum got a couple of things for DD

Eggmcmuffin · 12/10/2022 18:04

Smiggle advent calendar is down to £20 on their website which seems pretty good value. Considering buying one for me!

spudsuliked · 12/10/2022 18:07

Re not on the high street I've found if you google the seller they normally have a shop with the same name where the same items are cheaper (presumably as they aren't paying fees) might be worth a go.

Does anyone recall if Smyths or Lego.com did blanket reductions for Black Friday last year? I'm after a set I can only get from those two places which is £100+. Was going to get it now but will kick myself if they then do big discounts as it's the biggest thing on my shopping list...

I have bought DD one of these with kids books on from eBay as it was a bargain! But somewhere like Etsy, not on the high st etc has good selection

I don’t think they did last year, the better deals were on Amazon, sometimes smyths will reduce some sets but rarely do a % off all Lego. Lego is the only thing my dd asks for every year (we have way too many sets), last year I struggled to find any bargains but the previous year I got a couple sets on Black Friday deals. Now she’s on to the big £100+ sets I just watch them in Amazon and buy if the price drops.

Lego dots cupcakes are finally a bit on sale! I've had this in my basket for ages as my little boy would go nuts over it, he loves making ice cream or cakes from his duplo for us, and having tea parties! Alas I have already overbought for him...

What's the paw patrol track bargain please?

SpamIAm · 12/10/2022 19:02

Barbie Colour Reveal Mermaid is £13.99 in the prime sale

2lostsouls · 12/10/2022 19:11

I’m going to send WHS a snotty email. The email I had today said “the following items were unavailable” and then listed my whole order. Bollocks are they unavailable, they just don’t want to send them. I don’t like being lied to by a national chain… nothing Pokémon in my order, how can they just change their mind??

Grrrrrrr….

Someaddedsugar · 12/10/2022 19:15

@2lostsouls I've done the same with Amazon over the Hotel Chocolat hamper. I feel like I'm being silly because it was only a £15 hamper, but it feels wrong that I had my order cancelled under some rubbish that the price was wrong yet other people have received theirs (very pleased you all did btw - just envious 😂).

FluffyFluffMonster · 12/10/2022 19:15

I've got DD a barbie dream house for £40 from fb! Only thing is it's missing a few bits. Anyone know where I can get furniture from please?

Here!

Turtleoo · 12/10/2022 19:18

Although looks like it might be out of stock now (re paw patrol track)

Itsallyellow22 · 12/10/2022 19:30

@Lovemusic33 thanks. I think I'll have to just get it now then. It's exclusive to Smyths so although on amazon its on for over double the price!

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 12/10/2022 11:56

I’ve just done an order with footballs best 4u, ordered last year and it took absolutely ages to come so have made sure there’s plenty of time this year.

Got 5 mens football shirts for DS for £125. The ones I bought last year were spot on!

@GingerFoxInAT0phat are they genuine? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

user1466167893 · 12/10/2022 20:00

All this talk of WHSmith makes you compare and contrast. I used an earlier thread code on a 3 for 2 order with Pandora but when it arrived decided my daughter wouldn't like one part. Went into store today, explained and they not only exchanged but exchanged with no extra charge even though the replacement cost £10 more. Who will I use again?!

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 12/10/2022 20:04

@Amazonmulu Sadly no. However, they are exactly the same as genuine ones, same material/embroidery etc.
