Dd is 10 and has no idea what she would like for Christmas.

My DD is 9 (also in yr5) and similarly has no idea what she wants for Xmas and has everything she wants (except a phone which she can't have this year).

She is getting an annual pass to a theme park (a family present for us all which she knows about and understands the impact on budget), tickets to a show, new football kit, the new 164 story treehouse book, a bubble tea kit and a squishmallow. Her stocking will be a pamper theme (fluffy socks, bath bombs, face masks, nail varnish, chocolates etc).

She hasn't played with toys for a long time and is always tricky to buy for!

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 06/10/2022 16:21

liveforsummer · 06/10/2022 16:31

Dd is getting mostly horse riding stuff but also wants the friends studio set Lego

DinosaurOfFire · 06/10/2022 16:54

If she likes Minecraft, what about the minecraft figures? There are a few different types, plushes, figures, mini metal figures etc.

PaintMePurple · 06/10/2022 17:13

My 10 year old Dd has asked for squishmellows, oodie, and anything related to stranger things or Harry Potter.

what about an Alexa? My dd got one for her birthday and loves being able to play any music she wants in her room

Skala123 · 06/10/2022 18:55

DH has come up with what I think is a genius idea for DS who is nearly 10 - a mini projector for his room. Connects via Bluetooth to his iPad so he can game or watch Netflix/Disney plus etc on a big screen (no screen obvs just blank wall space) Will mean he can watch movies with his friends during sleepovers etc too

BangingOn · 06/10/2022 20:46

What about things for her room? You can get some very cool Minecraft lights, or maybe slogan neon lights, fairy lights, a beanbag. DS has an Alexa in his room which he loves for playing music and asking the poor machine endless questions.

FusionChefGeoff · 06/10/2022 21:20

Weighted blanket
Lava lamp
Airshot arcade game
Crappy mobile phone
Book tbc
Lynx stuff
White socks
Jenga maybe
Pyjamas

postcardpuffin · 06/10/2022 22:02

DD10 is getting:
— some board games
— Lego Hogwarts train
— LED glitter lamp for her room
— flower press
— Posca pens
— friendship bracelet kit
— some clothes
— some books
— unicorn necklace

What DD really wants:
— pierced ears
— a phone
— crop tops
— a puppy
(none of which she is getting 🤣)

I might get her something else as well, closer to the time. She has all the scooter/bike/roller blades/skateboard etc. stuff, and I don’t want to get her a phone, so am a bit stumped really. She did mention curling tongs so I might look into that.

MurderOfBirds · 06/10/2022 22:06

Mine wants a cool lamp and a print for his room, a recipe book, a pasta machine and band t shirts. No expensive requests this year!

MurderOfBirds · 06/10/2022 22:07

I might also get theatre tickets, maybe Matilda

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 06/10/2022 23:03

Dd10 will most likely get Lego... she still has a list of about 100 sets she wanted so whatever she doesn’t buy with her birthday money when we take our little trip in November, I will get her. She also likes crafts, ty beanies, most stuff tbh...list is endless which makes it easier for me at the moment. Just enjoying the years until she wants super expensive stuff and branded clothes.

so far I’ve got her
mini brands
ty beanies (Christmas special edition ones)
unicorn fairy garden. ( got her one last year and she loved it, so found a bigger one on offer)
2 books from her fave series
and I’m about to hopefully book Tom grennan concert tickets tomorrow when they go on sale.

SNWannabe · 06/10/2022 23:10

@Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure I found a TY beanie lamb from 2000 with tag still on- would that be of interest to your daughter?

Perfume

SafeHeaven · 07/10/2022 13:46

I like the hair styling head. I think I will get her one of those!

I thought they would be more expensive than they are due to them having real hair.

perfume is a good idea

Those of you that are getting the head mannequin, please could you link to it?

I got this one for my dd it was the cheapest I could find at the time, it's not real hair though:

On the subject of perfume, I bought my daughter Miss Sparkle from Next as a stocking filler. I was so impressed by how lovely it is - a little bit floral and a little bit fruity. Perfect for a 10yo and I think she'll love it. It's in a pretty bottle too.

LaTangerina · 07/10/2022 14:21

Here are some things I got my daughter that your daughter may like if she no longer likes toys:
Styling head
Silver earrings
Tie die kit
Shrink jewellery kit
Murder Most Unladylike mysteries (books 1-3)
Weighted duvet
Posca Pens & black paper (these pens seem to be new in thing right now because of YouTube)
Mug that also holds biscuits
Surprise jewellery box with jewellery (ASOS from the sale)
So! Bodyspray
Bath fizzer
I'm going to get the usual chocolate etc for the stocking.
Other things you wouldn't be interested in are a Rainbow High doll & a reborn doll.

Make Up Mirror
Walkie Talkies
Art Set

CoffeeChocolateWine · 07/10/2022 14:56

I bought my daughter a Neverland styling head for Christmas last year because of good reviews and a recommendation. It's a nice styling head but I must admit, not as big a hit with my DD as I had hoped.

Styling Head Neverland Beauty 24 Inch 60% Real Human Hair Hairdressing Training Head Practice Mannequin Head With Free Clamp + Hair Styling Braid Set(Brown)

This is the styling head I liked the look of on Amazon . It has good reviews and I like how you can use real straighteners and hair curlers on it.

pintsizeprincess · 07/10/2022 15:32

ah just realised it's a neverland one that pp mentioned . Sorry can't do the linky thing properly .
