Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

Thanks @tabbycat985 for the title

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

See post 2 for some (hopefully) useful links.

Primark do loads of nice ones in various colours and shapes for £1 each.
I have to call in there tomorrow so il take a picture of some if you want

Ignore me!! I clearly only read the first line 🤣🤣🤣🤣

ThreeRingCircus · 19/09/2022 19:42

Thank you for the Gruum washbag link, I've bought one for DB and will put the other Gruum items that I bought on one of the prequel threads in it.

Does anyone know a good place to get nice bath bombs? My LG loves them but my purse can stretch to a few LUSH ones. We've tried Primark ones but they were rubbish tbh. TIA x

Mrs snowballs has been mentioned a lot in the last few years.

Isonthecase · 19/09/2022 19:57

@Amazonmulu we really like the bomb cosmetics ones but I still find myself going back to the lush rainbow one. It's a bit pricier but lasts multiple baths, smells good, and doesn't stain the whole bath.

Roundaboot · 19/09/2022 20:28

If anyone's looking for a travel mug, Amazon currently have the Contigo West Loop in Matte Black for £20.
I've got one of these and they are brilliant, totally leak proof and keep drinks hot for ages

On the lookout for a nice compartmentalised lunch box for adult DD to take to work. Please let me know if you know of any bargains

The supermarkets have had sistema boxes really reduced recently.

FragileWitch · 19/09/2022 21:42

Thank you so, so much for all the amazing suggestions for historical gift ideas.
I’m blown away by how clever you lot are!

TheSoddingCat · 19/09/2022 22:20

If you don't like the Primark bath bombs you won't like Mrs Snowballs. Did a fairly large order a few years ago and none of it was scented. It all looked lovely but there was literally no smell, was very disappointed.

TheSoddingCat · 19/09/2022 23:06

What's the best deal on a Yoto Player at the moment? Do I just need to search through the referral thread for a code or is there an offer somewhere? Have googled but nothing is coming up. Thank you.

Bought a baby yoda blanket for £6 and a hot water bottle for £8 in Primark at the weekend. They're lovely for the price and a fairly inexpensive way to bulk out the present pile.

My thrift order arrived, and I agree, it was like seeing it for the first time it had taken so long. I got ten items for under £11 delivered and I’m keeping all but 1 (which was lovely but didn’t fit, I’ll pop it in charity bag). I only bought high street stuff, mainly tops but it has helped refresh my workwear (and a few bits I’d wear normally too) which is perfect for a tenner!

I also ordered this Lego book which I may have spotted here. £6 for a large hardback book full of lego facts - great for a 7 year olds birthday party present (May buy one for present box too!) - looks impressive.

I’m off to tesco today as I have a voucher to do food shop but also going to look at their summer toys (our paddling pool popped this year so May put one away for summer birthdays) and more party presents.

They don’t often do offers. I seem to recall a Black Friday offer last year, but I don’t think it was as good as using a referral code for 10% off

TwinkleChristmas · 20/09/2022 08:04

My thrift order arrived. Mostly good. One pair of shoes were far to worn and another pair the insoles are all bent up inside and lastly one pair of sports leggings for my daughter had some holes in so unusable but apart from that it was great.

mac1974 · 20/09/2022 08:09

@Picklesbaby I've got my code from the entertainer so I'll message it to you.

MrsPerfect12 · 20/09/2022 08:37

For history lovers, there is a new ‘Twas the night before a Tudor Christmas’ coming out on the 30th. Not barginous but would be a nice gift.

LaTangerina · 20/09/2022 10:21

If anyone is looking for a styling head for an older child, this is the cheapest I can find I believe its £15 posted in sterling (or €20). I've ordered one for my daughter:

DESOMI Soft 100% Synthetic Hair Hairdressing Head 26-28 Inches, Professional Soft Training Heads, Doll Head for Practising Hairstyles with Holder + DIY Hair Hairstyles Set (Ombre) amzn.eu/d/c58XDgh

And, they also have weekly offers on the cards, I just picked up he revolting rhymes one for £3.99 as they watch it on TV alot.

Good deal for Harry Potter fans at Zavvi - £14.99

Lots of Barbie offers on Amazon today. I don't have any CCC alerts on so not sure if they're the lowest prices but many look pretty decent!

I also find Mountain Warehouse good for offers, especially as they do 15% Blue Light discount on sale stuff, and free delivery to store, so good if you have one nearby.
