Just a big thanks for the Christmas in a Box recommendation upthread. I got the blue one for £19 and it arrived today and it is brilliant. Dh was a bit bemused about taking delivery of a box with "Christmas in a Box" emblazoned on the front of it with not so much as a bit of parcel paper to conceal my geeky clandestine advanced Christmas shopping habit. Rumbled, but still worth it.

My original party bag company order arrived today. One item missing that they've said they'll send on separately but brilliant value for what I've received!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a birthday present for my niece who will be 4? We usually only see her 1-2x a year as they live quite far away so I’m not sure what she’s into and I don’t have DC of my own so don’t know what 4yos like!

@imnottoofussed Mylee do an advent calendar that works out better value - you can still get the 2021 version that you might get discounted?

I always recommend the Melissa and Doug ice cream store for any 4 year olds. We bought it for dds 4th birthday a few years ago and it is still played with most days by her and her now nearly 4 year old sister. It retails for about £40 but often drops to low to mid 20s on Amazon.

Though probably not an option if you need to post.

Melissa and Doug reusable sticker books are good for a 4 year old, if she’s into Barbie/Chelsea there are loads of options there. And soft toys, squishmallows etc are always a big hit.

Honestly, secondhand is your friend here! There are so many on eBay and FB marketplace. Kids often don’t care about these things being new, but if you think she might, you can always get here some new accessories to go with it, or something else off her list!

Thank you for your kindness. I've used a code someone posted upthread. I did wonder if you're code would be better bargain-wise but I'm guessing most of the codes are quite similar. I am now, other than some perishables to be bought nearer the time and one tricky person, pretty much done!
