@imnottoofussed Essie gel couture is brilliant. It stays on for ages with 2 coats. I haven’t seen any on offer at the moment but got mine on offer a while back so they do come round at times.

Just popped to sainsburys and they had moon shoes down to £15. Quite a lot of them. I've got some for my 8yo for her birthday. They've got decent reviews so thought worth a try

I bought a switch last year. I seem to remember the best deal was to sign up to a credit account with very and get a percentage off. Maybe 10% or something? Will have a look.

@gogogotop last year we got ours from tescos on the Black Friday deals. Offers were fairly consistent everywhere but as we use Clubcard anyway it made sense to get the extra points on top of the price, as it was equal to everywhere else

I wrote similar last year. Was advised to buy from tesco. They exchange immediately if there is a problem. Proved correct.

Have you used Direct Cosmetics before? I'm a bit suspicious about them. The prices seem too good to be true.

I thought that too. I think I came across them through this thread actually. Anyway, I ordered a perfume from them, it arrived this AM and I compared it to the bottle I have from Boots. Looks legitimate and smells the same. I applied the DC one to my left arm and the Boots to my right and they lasted as long as each other so seems genuine.

They're quick to dispatch and sent a discount code in the paperwork.

Only thing I can't comment on is dispute resolution because I haven't had to contact them.

They seem to carry, not entirely, but a lot of older lines and little known ones. I wonder if that factors into the low prices somehow?

I wouldn't buy any electrical items too early as you don't want half the warranty to have expired before the child even receives the gift.

Thanks for reply re Nintendo switch. The recipient has a birthday in October so was semi hoping to give it then, but if Black Friday deals are worth waiting for then we'll do it for Christmas.

Definitely tesco though. They were excellent. I'd do it for a birthday and get some add ons for Christmas.

I would keep an eye out on the second hand sites - Shpock and Facebook market place. One of my friends bought a huge dolls house and redecorated in her daughter's preferred style, of course you might not want to do that though!

@Plaidparty it's on offer on a regular basis, there's a new one due out, not sure if it's only in the US, so that might lower price (same house just newer colours and few different accessories)
