If anyone can find me a link for cheap elie Saab perfume or dr martens that would be amazing

Have you tried Look Fantastic? Someone yesterday posted the discount code HINCHLF which gives maybe 15% off?

tabbycat985 · 27/07/2022 21:17

If anyone else is in need of a Tonie carrier, this is the cheapest I've found them

Thanks @Thesearmsofmine, that's stocking fillers and two presents bought from TOPBC!

paintedcupcake · 27/07/2022 21:28

Has anyone had anything from the original party bag company before as recommended unthread? The reaso I ask is it does seem like a bargain but the reviews on trustpilot are a little worrying Confused

Someaddedsugar · 27/07/2022 21:36

@paintedcupcake a colleague got a party kit from them last year and it was great. I've paid through PayPal just in case!

Thank you for reminding me about the £1:50 Seasalt socks, @EverydayIsPJday I collected my order today, and hadn’t realised they were mostly bamboo! Also, the prices on some of the pretty flowery ones have come down to £1:50 since I ordered.

If you are lucky enough to have a Seasalt shop nearby, Click and Collect is free on any size order. Otherwise it’s only free over £50, but they do offer free returns.

Some of the jewellery is marked as Sale, but isn’t showing a higher price and I think it used to be on a 3 for 2 offer. I hope it’s in the process of being reduced but that might just be wishful thinking.

How is the material? I've bamboo socks that I love but I'm not a big fan of the retailer. Always looking for a switch but always disappointed by the degree of softness or the quality of the finish (think 50 squillion loose threads inside) of substitute ones

whatausername · 27/07/2022 22:08

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions for presents for a runner :-) plenty for me to look at

NoWordForFluffy · 27/07/2022 22:17

That Seasalt website is shocking...jumps round all over the place.

Good price for the socks though.

BooksAndChooks · 27/07/2022 22:25

Has anyone sees any good deals on a good quality chainsaw?

Thanks for the sock recommendations but I just stumbled on these bamboo socks down to £1.50 at sea salt. Loads available including men's.

seasalt socks

Just bought 27 pairs of socks!! Think that's what I'll be giving everyone for Christmas!!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 27/07/2022 23:15

Apologies @2under2howscary, I came on to recommend Direct Cosmetics for perfume/ aftershave but they don't sell the brands you're looking for! They do however have quite a lot of unboxed skincare and perfume brands, if anyone needs some to put together a hamper.

Yalz · 27/07/2022 23:55

@whatausername ,

The socks feel soft and don’t have a seam across the toes, but is this what you mean by loose threads? I think it’s inevitable when you have designs woven in. My more expensive Gudrun Sjoden socks are similar. If you don’t like it, then there are plain Bamboo socks in 4 colours at £1:50 each pair that might suit you better.

I like Seasalt, though.

That is super helpful, thank you for taking the time to do that. The socks I had mind in re. the threads are socks that have toe seams and a seam at the ankle "cuff" with threads two inches long trailing about. Not a common issue I suppose! But annoying when it's every pair in two 3-packs. Won't buy that brand again! Away to place a Sea Salt order 😊

Yalz · 28/07/2022 01:55

@whatausername I hope you like your Seasalt socks when they arrive.

Mine have a seam at the side of the toes, but not across it.

I bought a couple of packs of socks from Sainsbury’s, with 3 or 5 in each pack, a couple of years ago. Plain black with various star patterns on the sole. They were very comfy and I loved them, until they all started to go into holes in exactly the same place, where the patterned bit joined the plain section. None left now.

EverydayIsPJday · 28/07/2022 06:45

Haha 27 pairs of socks is impressive...now I feel measly having only bought 7! Hope they're OK though.

And morning everyone, 😊

snowmanshoes · 28/07/2022 07:05

My fragrance direct order arrived - all amazing things - pleased with it all so thank you again!!

Suggestions please, for gift ideas for someone in the early stages of running. Nothing too expensive in case the hobby gets dropped next year! They run 5-10k, outdoors, off-road. What about running gloves, socks? Maybe an inexpensive top (I mean not a £30+ branded one)?

Socks and gloves excellent idea. Also a fleecy headband (possibly reflective too) to keep ears warm and hold ear buds in place too.

I'm a warm runner and regularly strip all my layers off even on a very cold day but love having my extremities toasty!

tabbycat985 · 28/07/2022 13:01

Ohh just found these Robo Alive dinosaurs that my little boy has been asking for, they seem to be half price at £6 ish each

If anyone spots any offers on Micro scooters other than the buy 2 save xx I'd be most grateful I'm after a micro cruiser 😊

Just seen as advert for smyths saying 15% off micro scooters ordered before 15th August

Hi everyone - been watching this thread for a few weeks now and have just made my second order! I’m determined to avoid all shops in December…

My first was 18 wax melt bars from Devon Wicks. At £1 a bar for their Christmas scents, I was sceptical as I normally like to avoid buying scents online, but I can vouch that each and every bar smells wonderful. I’ll be splitting them up as smaller gift fillers.

Also just ordered a couple of these postcard socks from Seasalt Cornwall. I initially had the £1.50 ones in my basket, but the presentation and design of these are much nicer IMO.
