Anyone else have a problem ordering from fragrance direct? Its saying my basket doesn't meet the criteria even though each item clearly says 'outlet ' when you look at it, and I found the items under the outlet section. 😕

ASOS have a big sale on, just bought this make your own zebra light for £5 down from £15 https://www.asos.com/prd/201951825?acquisitionsource=pasteboard

Oh bugger, sorry for the big links!

EverydayIsPJday · 25/07/2022 20:26

Does anyone have any recommendations for a (will be) 5year old wannabe scientist? My son has gone nuts for circuit boards and experiments and we have no idea where to start. His birthday is also in October so there's scope to get grandparents etc on board if there are multiple bits worth getting.

EverydayIsPJday · 25/07/2022 20:26

And thank you! 😊

Isonthecase · 25/07/2022 20:33

@EverydayIsPJday you need the snap circuits from places like Cambridge electronics. They're brilliant for that age and really educational.

My DD liked the Hot Wires electronics kit that has a mix of circuit items and interesting experiments. I think we just got it from Amazon for a birthday!

I had the same problem and messaged them via chat and they corrected it really quickly for me. I think they keep adding new products to the outlet but don’t always update how the codes work with them.

theclangersarecoming · 25/07/2022 20:50

Sorry post above was for @Mumofboys1317 !

EverydayIsPJday · 25/07/2022 20:51

Thank you @Isonthecase and @theclangersarecoming I'm off for a Google!

The hot wires one is also snap circuits, really easy to use and DD played for ages with it on her own — she was about 7 when we got it but I’m sure a younger child would get a lot out of it too.

17caterpillars1mouse · 25/07/2022 20:56

If he likes other science the Galt kits are brilliant. I think they do a physics one. We have the rainbow lab, bubble lab and dinolab and all are great

EverydayIsPJday · 25/07/2022 20:57

Thanks ever so much 😊

FilthyforFirth · 25/07/2022 21:06

The little eco shop that we all liked last year has buy 2 get 1 free with code BLUEMONDAY.

Good for stocking fillers for planet conscious teens, guilt free toiletries etc

theclangersarecoming · 25/07/2022 21:07

Yes agree that the Galt labs are brilliant, we have several and they’re very good.

DD also loved her Galt marble run at that age - she was v keen on science ab construction toys and loved putting the marble run together.

Thank you so much! I'll give that a try.

Givealittlebit · 25/07/2022 23:25

@Reastie for your environmentally conscious friend there was lots of bits inthe fragrance direct outlet (shampo bars, cleansing bars etc) all with the EXTRA50 code!

SNWannabe · 26/07/2022 00:01

“Shamelessly Peacemaking” is such a fab Freudian slip, surely has to be a title contender…

Yep, pretty much the same as mine liked! There are plenty of those popper circuit ones around, quite a mix of prices too. We bought a brand with a few kits so they can be used together.

MerylSqueak · 26/07/2022 09:16

Don't forget Boots Tenner Tuesday. They've got the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer in this week, which might be good for adult beauty aficionados.

theEndisFar · 26/07/2022 10:18

Reading about the Hot Wires circuit thing has got me thinking about my just turned 9yr old. I’ve added that to the potential list but does anyone have any other ideas at all?

He loves science, nature etc. Starting to love (obsess over!) minecraft but plays on iPad and not sure we want to go down prober gaming route just yet (but out of budget too!). Had lots of Lego, gravitrax etc. Outdoor stuff he’s got scooter bike etc. He likes the go karts at a park we go too but think be expensive for his own one. Looking for any suggestions small or “main” items. It was so much easier when he was little 😏
