I'm looking for an impressive gift for a teenage girl. Something that looks about £10 but that I didn't have to spend that much on. I don't know about teenage girls, long time since I was one, so any guidance much appreciated...

Thank you for the playmobil pic! Wouldn't come up on my app when I typed in the code but came up on a Web search.

My son will be very happy with this as he loves toy doughnuts, cakes and ice cream!!! Somehow I don't think it'll last until Xmas though.....not with the school holidays!!

TamSamLam · 25/07/2022 10:42

In home bargains the other day they had rolls of blackboard paper that you stick on the wall. Not nice enough for a present but well worth the £2 for summer holiday entertainment, even if it only lasts the holidays. It doesn't damage the wall but wall does need to be very flat.

psuedocream3 · 25/07/2022 10:49

There is also Playmobil Mermaid and Pirate sets for £2.99

Clothing sale in Asda (online but a lot more choice in store)
They had quite a lot of character stuff in the younger children's section - Bluey, Hey Duggee, Cocomelon, Paw Patrol, Minnie Mouse etc. I got my daughter some Bluey PJs for £6.

They also had some nice fleece blankets with various characters on for £7 or £8. Not reduced but seemed like a good price. Also some for older kids like Harry Potter, Among Us and Minecraft.

UrbanMage · 25/07/2022 12:40

My fragrance direct order arrived and I'm properly impressed. Teacher gifts and stocking fillers all sorted now. Just got my parents, DH and Dd to sort now.

LaTangerina · 25/07/2022 13:01

I've seen this Hallmark Christmas in a Box ~ it's rolls of gift wrap, gift bags, Christmas cards, crackers. The other colour is €50 so I've ordered this but wondering will it actually get fulfilled 🙃
I'm really hoping so.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but Bargain Max have a summer sale on with an extra 25% off with code SUMMER25.

There's some really good discounts, the best 2 for things on my list are the

  • Jurassic World Colossal Toro, should be £69.99, on sale at £39.99, then £29.99 with the extra discount.
  • Kindi Kids Berri D'Lish should be £24.99, on sale at £16.99, £12.75 with the further discount.

In total £175 worth of presents for £95

FilthyforFirth · 25/07/2022 14:34

Thanks for all the greetings - I've missed you all - I love how this thread can feel like a big bargain family.

I have no idea what I'm looking for yet so no clue what to look out for! I do have someone who loves local/environmentally friendly kind of stuff though.

I've taken to entering competitions in the hopes of winning some prizes and Christmas gifts to save buying them all Grin

Babyliss ceramic curling wand down to £21.99 on amazon. I've just received it today so I can curl my daughters hair for a wedding this weekend. Just tried it and it's really good especially at that price
