Yes, still piles of stuff down here, I have transferred some upstairs so now some of the bedrooms are cluttered as well.

It is dd1's b'day on Sunday so expecting a few more...

I thought it was OK to keep decs up until the weekend? Though I've started taking down cards already - they were getting irritating.

Everything is still there. Tree, decorations, presents...

fireflyfairy2 · 03/01/2008 13:27

I couldn't bear to look at the mess! All toys have been deposited in their rooms... now they just look messy instead of my living room!!

Niecie · 03/01/2008 13:30

Congratulations on actually having piles. DS2 seems to have had everything out this morning and just spread it round a bit. Walking across the room is getting increasingly difficult. He is not cooperating with the tidying either. I might have to threaten a black bag soon and reclaim the lounge.

Within 48 hours all presents had been put in rooms in new storage purchased exactly for that reason. Unless it was stuff we had decided to allow to stay downstairs.

VictorianSqualor · 03/01/2008 13:34

How can you cope with the clutter????? Crikey!
The presents in our house were put away christmas day night, the tree came down boxng day and even my kitchen was back to normal by 5pm xmas day.

I'd be going crazy.

jeez we only put the tree up on Dec 22.

SO it's staying up till Jan 4 or even 5 for sure.

harleyd · 03/01/2008 13:37

mine could still be here at easter

onepieceoflollipop · 03/01/2008 13:38

LowFat I read your post as new rooms, not new storage and was most impressed!! (although new storage is impressive too of course)

whenachildisbob · 03/01/2008 13:39

Piles here too. It's not 12th night til the weekend so I'm not in any hurry to get rid of Christmas quite yet.

Are the people who take the tree down soon after the Christmas the ones who put it up in September?

Dh was gutted to come back after New Year to find the decorations on his desk at work had been taken down.

It is still the season to be jolly

ivykaty44 · 03/01/2008 13:40

I thought it was unlucky to take decorations down before 12th night?

Twiggypiggy · 03/01/2008 13:42

Presents put away boxing day, tree and decs taken down New Years Day.

MrsWeasley · 03/01/2008 13:42

half of ours is still here. The girls have managed to take there piles upstairs The boys said they wanted to look at them a bit longer

I have changed back from my christmas name just because we have eaten all the mince pies and everytime I see my xmas name (mrsweasleysmagicmincepies) I want one.

Weegle · 03/01/2008 13:44

mine are because I can't work out where the hell to put them! so until I have figured that out (which looks like it involves actually buying new blinkin furniture) they shall stay in said pile!

our piles moved yesterday - but only to the relevant room - they stayed in the piles

The tree and everything came down on Sunday - I use the excuse that it is because it is ds's birthday on the 2nd, but really it's because I want rid

Tree down yesterday, all the toys were organised and put away Christmas night but seem to be coming back down the stairs by themselves.

Still haven't managed to get the pink castle out the lounge yet.
