Mine were out like a light at 8.15? When I was little it would be midnight and I still wouldn't be able to sleep with excitement on Christmas Eve. Not my kids, oh no, heads hit the pillow and it's game over!

I'm not complaining, it makes life easier for FC but I'm surprised!

CarGirl · 24/12/2007 20:44

dd3 (4) still WIDE awake she has just informed Daddy that she is very very excited, I think it could be many hours yet. Dd2 & Dd4 snoring in minutes at 7pm!

needmorecoffee · 24/12/2007 20:45

all still up and watching telly

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 24/12/2007 20:46

dd1 has been so excited about xmas the last few weeks (she is 3.3 so 1st xmas of really understanding) however she cam out in chicken pox at weekend and now feeling sorry for herself, she went to bed at 6.30 as normal no excitement about the morning she did ask if he was coming tonight though(we did leave mince pie etc for santa) but she has been awake twice scratching if that continues she'll be so grumpy tomorrow

its dd2 1xmas (shes 11.5months) so she went to bed as normal has no idea whats happening apart from pulling the tree over (and whats the betting she'll have chicken pox on her 1st birthday [fmm])

Sidge · 24/12/2007 20:47

DD3 asleep at 1900, DD2 at 1930, DD1 lights out at 2015 so will pop up in a minute and see if she's asleep yet so I can wrap the pressies without interruption!

BadKittenInAPearTree · 24/12/2007 20:47

Not yet - just come back from a friends house. She is trying to procrastinate by deciding which stocking she will use - giving them marks out of 10.

I hope she falls asleep before I do!

MaeWestYeMerryGentlemen · 24/12/2007 20:48

DS (16 months) was asleep by 6pm(!) tonight as he was knackered due to horrible night last night and no nap today.

Maybe he'll give me a Christmas present of an unbroken night

KbearingGiftsWeTraverseAfar · 24/12/2007 20:49

I bet they will wake up at 5am though as I am sleeping in DD's room tonight I bet that's when I will be getting up!

They're in bed, but I can hear them chatting and laughing. I'll go and yell in a minute........

perpetualworrier · 24/12/2007 20:50

We spent this morning with another family at the local country park playing hide and seek, then everyone back here for lunch and 5 kids made a den out of the sofa cushions.

Then all to lovely carol service at the Salvation Army Farm, in the barn with the animals. V. big treat of McDonalds for tea & quick look to see where Santa was on Google Earth. They could barely keep thier eyes open by the time they got to bed. Been soundo since 7:30.

LadyOfTheHollyAndTheIvy · 24/12/2007 20:53

We have had PIL and BIL and family over this evening so has been quite busy here with 10 bods in our little house.
DS1 (2) fell asleep promptly after they all left but is now wide awake.
DS2 (1) is asleep.
We have 2 or 3 things left to warp and then have to try and get it all under the tree with Ds1 asleep in the lounge. (He sleeps in the lounge as he curently suffers bad night terrors.
We will have to cover the booty with a sheet or something.
Hope we don't wake up in the morn to everyting unwrapped.

Nightynight · 24/12/2007 21:06

1 / 4 is sleeping, and it is past 10 pm here!!

wangle99 · 24/12/2007 21:16

DS (4) just in bed now with DD reading a story.

Last year DD was STILL awake at 1.30am have decided we will go to midnight mass this year, if she's going to be awake might as well be proactive and do something! Hopefully she'll be knackered when we get back because I know I will be!!

lou33 · 24/12/2007 21:23

lottymadbird · 24/12/2007 21:26

bonkerzaboutxmas · 24/12/2007 21:27

oxocube · 24/12/2007 21:30

2 out of 3 asleep but the third helped to put out the presents (aged 12). I'm off to bed now too!

lottymadbird · 24/12/2007 21:30

imdreamingofa... midnight mass for DP at 9pm? AKA the pub???!!!!! Leave the princess playhouse and get a glass of wine

AchristmasRGPARGYcarol · 24/12/2007 21:31

DS (17) still awake, obviously, DD (almost 3 weeks) asleep in my arms, hence crap typing! She is being fractious lately so the crook of my arm is her new bed. Arrgghh!!

saltirehangingonachristmastree · 24/12/2007 21:33

No chance, both still awake and shouting downstairs at regular intervals wanting updates on where santa is. They are 9 and 7! At this rate he won't be at our house until 2am!
