Threads like these always puzzle me as surely teens' are not a homogenous species and one person's favourite present might be a nightmare for someone else?

However, for the record DS's fave present was a coffee machine.
DD's fave present was very personal to her and unlikely to be helpful as a general present idea.

And neither are the suggestions homogeneous, clever dick.

My dd loved the clothes I got her, she's currently going through a hippy phase and likes all the tie dye stuff.

She also liked the 3d puzzles, new make up and the crystal jewellery she got.

My chemical romance concert tickets. My dd is so excited!

I think now mine are 14 and 15 I will continue to buy experiences like that rather then crap they don't need.

13 loved a huge like of books, mix of fiction and popular science, warhammer, slippers and some fossil prep stuff ( dremmel, polishing pads, tin oxide powder etc).

Oh no!! Wait until the next school holiday, then take fully apart and start from scratch. It can be done, but took me a few attempts as when I topped it to build theother half the roof started to crumble! The air was blue!
