Morning
After someone suggested trying saying WELCOME10 at the till on one of the previous threads I actually tried that in Carat the other day. Didn't work.
However I've found a HELLO10 code on there website. Does anyone know a way of getting a better discount or cash back with CaratLondon?

CoffeeAndDryShampoo · 09/01/2022 09:57

@Thesearmsofmine would you mind giving me some tips - my son has just joined Scouts, is there anything I can get from the Trespass sale now that you'd recommend for future activities?

tootsnwoocake · 09/01/2022 11:24

ASOS have 20% off most things including sale items. Loads of gift wrap, decorations, toiletries, socks etc for next year. Code is YESPLS

Loads of half price Christmas crackers on ocado

PinkDaydreams · 09/01/2022 15:18

I'm looking for model dinosaurs on offer please if anyone has seen any? I'm presuming papo and schleich are the best brands to go for? I don't want wooden.

Loads of half price Christmas crackers on ocado
These look perfect! Added 6 boxes to my bag but sadly Ocado don’t deliver to where I live ☹️ Do they just do supermarket type deliveries or can you normally just purchase an item and pay delivery charges? Thanks to everyone for the cracker links! 😃
NoWordForFluffy · 09/01/2022 16:10

I think I'll just get crackers full price later in the year, as none of the bargain ones are actually that good a price (other than Ocado, but I don't use them and my sister has no stock near her). Maybe I'll use Nectar points to buy them; they'll be free then!

guineapigs · 09/01/2022 16:35

I am looking cheaper crackers for children. Those supermarket multipacks. I already have posh ones for adults.

Notlongnow1 · 09/01/2022 17:24

Christmas cards were all down to 20p in my m&s today. Not a big selection but worth a look if you're passing one. Also got some chocolate Freddo crackers in morrisons today down to £1 for a pack of 4.

bigchanges1 · 09/01/2022 18:54

Has anybody seen any WHSmith codes please?

Famousthehero · 09/01/2022 19:49

@PinkDaydreams

Can I ask how the owl pellets were received?! Were they a hit or miss gift??
@PinkDaydreams our 5yo was very interested in the owl pellets and excited to discover which creature it would be. It’s quite delicate but tough work, and all the tiny bones exceeded her attention span, but I enjoyed helping. I think I’ll buy more, probably not as gifts for friends etc as I don’t think everybody is as interested in picking through reconstituted dead animal parts as we are…
NisekoWhistler · 09/01/2022 21:10

I got some fill your own crackers from the works today. £1.50 for 6. There was plenty of stock, in Putney

Martinisarebetterdirty · 09/01/2022 21:53

@PinkDaydreams my 8 and 10 year olds loved the owl pellets, they came wrapped in silver foil with and identification chart for the bones and I bought them a pair of tweezers each. They spent a happy half an hour picking over the bones, it was very dusty and a bit grim to be honest but they loved it and have asked for more.

Deminism · 09/01/2022 22:24

@AnotherOne4 Grin sorry I meant I am also after some crackers

PinkDaydreams · 10/01/2022 09:03

That's great to hear thank you! To be honest i was thinking for DH! DS is a bit young yet

Martinisarebetterdirty · 10/01/2022 09:39

Ah then yes - definitely good for an adult - I think the tweezers were about 50p so we just binned them after (it was a bit grim) and we got a lot of bones, it’s not just one or two in each pellet.

sunshineandrain82 · 10/01/2022 11:34

Has anyone seen any offers on the yoto starter kit?

Yeknom · 10/01/2022 11:42

@sunshineandrain82 you can use my referral code for 10% off if that helps?

For those interested in bargain normally-expensive candles, Penhaligons has some reduced from £60 to £21 (scroll down.)

They are unboxed, though.

Silversilverstreet · 10/01/2022 13:31

The Penhaligons candles have gone down to £18 from £60 since I last posted.

PinkDaydreams · 10/01/2022 14:14

M&S cards, wrap, tags 20p I've just got a lovely pop up card, should be £8 each

unfortunateevents · 10/01/2022 15:40

Thank you for Penhaligons tip-off. I love their candles and in the past the unboxed ones have come wrapped in cellophane with a small ribbon so good enough to gift as they are. However, although they are good at £18 I feel like the original price must surely be inflated?! It's a few years since I last bought but I'm sure the usual price was about £35-36, have they really gone up that much in which case it's a shocking rate of inflation! Also if anyone likes a lovely lip balm, my DS declares the apple one the best ever!

For anyone who was enquiring about Boots, our local one (Poole) had quite a bit of stock in today - loads of the large Soap and Glory, quite a lot of gift sets - Joules, L'Oreal, Jack Wills bags etc. Also items that would be good for stocking fillers, some cards and wrap etc. So I think it varies from store to store quite a lot! It was a nasty shock to find that the M&S in town had closed permanently on Saturday though!
