I am downloading a load of carols onto discs for workplace on Christmas eve...we have a tradition - before Christams Eve - pop songs. Christmas Eve - Strictly Carols!!

I ahve a notion of favourites already...Oh Little Town of Bethlehem etc.

Are there any that come slightly under the radar of popularity, but you love to hear, and can recommend??

Please??

Coventry Carol

Can't remember the title 'Oh now carry me to Bethlehem.....'

When a Child is born

In the deep mid winter

In Excelis Deo (very badly spelt)

Rocking Carol

It came upon a midnight Clear

merryTissmas · 20/12/2007 19:58

yes deffo Sheperd's Pipe carol, it's one of my favourites, and reminds me of school when we sang it in the choir! Also The Three Kings (Cornelius, not We 3 Kings) for the same reason.

DeePandcrisPandeven · 20/12/2007 20:10

Coventry carol is gorgeous

A Virgin Most Pure

Lullay My Liking (Holst)

The Truth from Above

Wake, O Wake with Tidings Thrilling

DeePandcrisPandeven · 20/12/2007 23:16

as an aside..does anyone know a hymn that has a chorus that starts with "Though the mountains may fall, and the hills turn to dust.."?

IT was a great one to sing, but no-one I know recalls this...
