So what’s everyone’s agenda for tomorrow?

KittenKong · 24/12/2021 11:42

Have people got Christmas Eve and Day agendas?

When we were kids there always seemed to be an agenda executed with military precision. Always something ‘next’ to do.

We aren’t seeing family this year. Maybe get an online game going with the siblings…

8-9am dog walk (just me and her).
9:30 onwards breakfast and present opening.
1-2pm light buffet lunch
Afternoon- board games and a film.
6pm Christmas Dinner
Evening- drinks and TV.

Iusedtobeasister · 24/12/2021 11:52

It’s only me and DD (18) tomorrow so we’ll get up when we wake and she’ll open her stocking in my bed. Downstairs for ‘proper’ presents and then lounge about eating what we feel like when we feel like it. We’ll probably both have a nap at some stage. Then eat some more. Kitchen disco in the evening with some gin. Bit of telly thrown in and bed when we feel like it. It’s very non traditional but she is beyond excited and it’s definitely rubbing off on me. Today we’re going for a walk about town and then we’re off to the pub for a few drinks.
I hope you all have a lovely day whatever it is you’re doing

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 24/12/2021 13:41

No schedule at all and no idea what we're doing!! We've just brought newborn DS home from the hospital, so it'll be just feeding, trying his sleep and just survive really!

MamaWeasel · 24/12/2021 13:47

Trying to avoid catching covid from grown up ds and typhoid Mary dh who will be cooking Christmas Dinner. I am not hopeful tbh.

WeAllHaveWings · 24/12/2021 13:51

Open presents (not many this year as ds(17) had big present early)
Brunch
Lazy afternoon and dog walk, ds will probably go to gym
Christmas dinner
Board games and Christmas movie (probably die hard or lethal weapon)
Supper

Funkyslippers · 24/12/2021 14:57

Playing badminton with dd2 in a bit. Dog walk this morning. Dd1 and OH gone to see Spiderman. Tomorrow open presents, eat and drink, then DD1 is working at her job in a restaurant from 3-8. I'm also delivering a hamper to someone on their own for a charity

Finfintytint · 24/12/2021 15:01

Timeisavirtue · 24/12/2021 15:27

Sometime between 6 & 7am the kids will wake us up....
9ish we will have breakfast
Eat about 3ish
Start games around 6ish
That’s how it goes every year

PumpkinPie2016 · 24/12/2021 15:33

No strict schedule here Xmas Grin

DS will get up around 7am (his usual time) so we'll all go down together and open presents (while drinking lots of tea!).

Once we are all dressed we'll have breakfast. DS's godfather will probably pop round with the present he has for DS and so we can give him his.

Then it will be relaxing/playing with DS.

Off to SiLs at about 3pm as we having Christmas Dinner with them -will stay until around 9pm ish then home.

I like a nice, chilled Xmas day!

Saw my parents today and will see them between Xmas and New year as well.

Paleodiet · 24/12/2021 15:52

Up earlyish to prepare vegetables. Brunch with DD & her bf, open presents, then a walk with the hound. Friends arriving at 2. Christmas “dinner” at about 4. Board games, word games, increasingly silly games. Will slope off to bed at about 11 and leave the Millenials to party on.

TheMarmaladeYears · 24/12/2021 16:24

Walk dog followed by morning with ds2 and dgc at his. Present opening. Out for brief (non-alcoholic drink). Drive back home in no tearing hurry to cook (mostly prepared in advance) veggie Christmas dinner for me and friend who is coming to share it in early evening. Eat dinner. Claim to be too full for pudding. Chinwag. Eat pudding. Watch mindless but entertaining Christmas TV in comfort of home. At some point have Facetime call with ds1, ddil and dgs (his first Christmas) who are at her parents in USA.

MrsBerthaRochester · 24/12/2021 16:38

Kids will probably get up about 9ish. Open stockings in bed then downstairs for presents.
Breakfast will be salmon and cream cheese bagels.
About 11.30 they will be picked up by exh who will take them to exfil for their presents.
My friend and her dogs are coming over about 3. Dinner will be about 4.
Will try and persuade kids to play a game.
Dessert about 6 then a supper of cheese, crackers and mince pies. I will drink a lot of booze as my pal is hard work but love her to bits.

KittenKong · 24/12/2021 16:47

Oh yes - what time is everyone eating? In our house it’s usually ‘when it’s ready’ lateish lunch. DS is cooking tomorrow (he volunteered / did it last year and did a really nice job!).

My sister (when we have it at hers) generally says 1 but it’s really 3 because our brother is always 2 hours late.

We are eating at 6pm roughly. We did that last year and it worked really well so will probably always do that now.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 24/12/2021 17:07

6am (pray for me that it's not any earlier) up with teens for frantic present opening

7am baileys

8am get the mahoosive Turkey in the oven (god only knows why DH bought a Turkey the size of a small horse when it's just the 4 of us tomorrow)

9am ring DM, DMIL etc etc etc

9.30am baileys

10am put some make up on

10.30am baileys

11am hide from SIL and BIL because I can't bloody stand them and they insist on coming round Christmas morning with £200 of presents for DD(12) and a box of chocolates for DD(17) who I already had when I met DH. I mean she was 2 but they don't see her as family.

11.30am baileys

12-3 cooking and baileys

4pm food

5pm sleeeeeeeeep

CrimbleCrumble1 · 24/12/2021 17:08

We’re opening presents then oldest DS come over and we open more presents. We are out for lunch and this is followed by a walk for just DH and I while my 3 DS’s are gaming.
Turkey sandwiches, TV, champagne and various puddings and chocolate in the evening.

OhGiveUp · 24/12/2021 17:14

This evening we will be eating our Christmas dinner then opening our presents.
Tomorrow we will go to the pub until closing time then laze around in bed with music and alcohol after some food.

lonsdaleshorts · 24/12/2021 17:16

I’ll be up first. Usually about half 6. Heating on, coffee in the quiet and wait for DH and the teens. Teens want wakened no later than half 8.

Present opening, champagne and chocolate.

Bacon rolls and coffee and showers/get ready.

FaceTime New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong with family.

Prep food. We will be eating around 4. Go for a walk.

Then 6 pm friends visiting for pudding, drinks, games.

The end.

TooWicked · 24/12/2021 17:19

Get up, walk the dog, home for breakfast, go to MIL with a bottle of champagne for half an hour, back home, dinner at about 5.30 ish.

Champagne and snacking throughout the day. Watch the Queen’s speech. And somewhere in there will be opening presents with DS - depends on what time he gets up.

KittenKong · 24/12/2021 17:29

How can you cook all Bailey-Ed up? I make it a point of never drink cooking. That’s how I had a dinner party with raw risotto (but we were all kissed as farts by then anyway).

Presents when the kids wake us
Bacon sandwiches mid morning
Dog walk
Playing with presents, board games etc
Big roast mid afternoon
Christmas film
Bed :)

AuntieStella · 24/12/2021 17:41

Stockings when people are awake

DH and I off to parkrun (DC welcome, but probably back to bed!)

Back to make lunch (and reawaken DC)

Huge lunch, and some sort of games until 3pm

Queen's speech

Open tree presents

Ring everyone we can think of

We used to watch Doctor Who together, not sure what'll happen in the evening. DC may well slink off, and so just me and DH on the sofa, with the cheese mountain and the Quality Street

AuntieStella · 24/12/2021 17:43

@Iusedtobeasister - love the sound of a kitchen disco!!!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 24/12/2021 17:48

@KittenKong DH is doing most of the cooking that's how 😂😂

It will only be very small portions of baileys so don't worry I won't be steaming. I'm just going to need the early ones to get through the SIL and BIL visit.

Holothane · 24/12/2021 17:53

Sleep in turkey already cooked nibbles and books then Call the midwife tomorrow night.
