So what’s everyone’s agenda for tomorrow?

KittenKong · 24/12/2021 11:42

Have people got Christmas Eve and Day agendas?

When we were kids there always seemed to be an agenda executed with military precision. Always something ‘next’ to do.

We aren’t seeing family this year. Maybe get an online game going with the siblings…

I thought you meant a secret agenda Grin

I was thinking… DARK

bevelino · 24/12/2021 17:58

I don’t have a schedule but know for a fact that because dh is doing all the cooking tomorrow the kitchen will look like a bomb has hit it.

WildStallyn · 24/12/2021 17:58

We're staying with MIL for a few days.

We'll wake up whenever the DC do.
Exclaim over their Father Christmas presents.
Have breakfast.
Go to SIL's late morning.
Exchange gifts.
Eat a massive roast.
Walk the dogs.
Drink, play games and eat nibbles until the DC are tired.
Come back to MIL's and go to bed.

Lovely and chilled.

Inextremis · 24/12/2021 17:59

Wake up whenever
Instantly regret tonight's vodka
Hoik turkey out of fridge and try to fit it into dish which is too small (but is all we have)
Turn oven on to whatever St Delia recommends
Stick turkey in it
Cajole DH and our housemate into having coffee with no alcohol in it whilst they open their stockings
Take the dogs out for poos and pees
Examine turkey progress, make ham glaze
Pour something with booze in it, and drink it
Thank the Lord I peeled the spuds yesterday (ie, today, not done it yet, but I shall)
Stare at housemate until he preps the sprouts and carrots
Go into a cooking frenzy and do the rest of the foodage
Announce that we're about to eat, then eat
Find sofa, pass out
Awake and look for cheese
Eat cheese, pass out again
Awake, thirsty and needing a large mug of tea
Drink tea
Wince at the washing up
Go wash face and put self back together
Do washing up
Decide I deserve a drink
Drink, eat cheese, with chocolate, and all the good stuff
Find bed and lie in it

That's Christmas done for another year!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 24/12/2021 18:00

Lie in. Up about 9ish (maybe 10!)
Turf teen/20yo out of bed for gifts.
Bacon butties or pastries according to preference.

Phone call with distant relatives.

Sister coming mid afternoon for mince pies and presents.
Mum's at 6pm. Food at half 6. More presents.

Hopefully home by 9 for telly, chilling, booze and not too late to bed.

One of my favourite authors always releases a new short story on Christmas day, so I'll fit reading that in at some point.

sofakingcool · 24/12/2021 21:07

Getting up not too early - DS1 is working the closure shift at our local tonight so will wait up for him.

Presents, breakfast and shower dressed

Setting off to parents at 11.30ish, where we'll stay until probably 8-9pm having Christmas lunch, playing daft games and hopefully watching strictly

Lovemusic33 · 24/12/2021 21:14

Dd1 will probably wake before 5am, hopefully her stocking will keep her busy for 2 hours.

Wake up dd2 at 7-7.30 ish

Breakfast at 8ish

Present opening at 8.30 ish

Christmas dinner at 1pm

Pudding at 4pm (can never manage it straight after dinner)

What crap tv for the rest of the day, if anyone gets hungry then there’s cheese and crackers and chocolate (I’m done cooking).

It’s just me and 2 teens so it’s pretty chilled out and stress free. My dad might pop in at some point.

Acheyknees · 24/12/2021 21:18

Up at 5.15, drive to work for 6.30 start, work 12 hours, home about 19.45
Probably have egg on toast while opening presents.

KittenKong · 24/12/2021 21:19

Eek- what job do you do?

OP posts:
Acheyknees · 24/12/2021 21:25

IT for large organisation

ListenLinda · 24/12/2021 21:31

Up, whatever time the 4yo and 2yo old get up (but reasonable, no way am i starting the day at 3am!)

Presents.
Toast.
Go to mum & dads to present swap at about 9am.

Back home, start cooking & convince the kids to nap.
MIL arriving for dinner & more presents. My grandmother too.

3pm, dinner served.
5.30pm back to my parents for drinks until the kids are ready to come home to bed.

The end.

Then we are hosting again Boxing Day.

delilahbucket · 24/12/2021 21:35

No, never. We spend Christmas at home, we don't host and we don't go to visit anyone. No timetable, things get cooked and eaten, films get watched. We rarely get a day at home just together, so it's perfect for us.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 24/12/2021 21:35

Up about 8, kids will have opened stockings
Breakfast of croissants and coffee
Beach walk, coffee, parents arrive
Cook lunch
Eat lunch about 1.30
Wash up
Present opening
Tea, mince pies, telly
About 6pm cheese board, more telly
8pm call the midwife
The bed!

vodkaredbullgirl · 24/12/2021 21:38

Sleep doing a night shift tonight and tomorrow.

StruggleStreet · 24/12/2021 21:49

Up whenever the kids wake up (usually around 7:30am)
Open stockings in our bed
Downstairs and open presents with coffee/Buck’s Fizz
FaceTime family
Breakfast (salmon and eggs)
Get showered and dressed
Play with toys/watch TV
Go to local restaurant for lunch at 2pm
Back to PILs after lunch for drinks and games
Back home whenever the toddler gets overtired and has inevitable meltdown
Put kids to bed
Baileys

Indoctro · 24/12/2021 21:56

Presents 6-7am
Parkrun 9.30am (me only)
Xmas dinner 2pm

KittenKong · 24/12/2021 22:05

I was going to wrap my present tonight but a bottle of wine accidentally opened, and you know how it goes off really fast?

OP posts:
pinkksugarmouse · 26/12/2021 00:25

Go for a walk. Alone. Read. Play board games. No big dinner. Would be satisfied with a sandwich. See if there’s anything I want to watch on TV. DD(19) or DH might watch with me if suitable.
